Tam The Piper Full Description
It means the world to me to be able to play the pipes whether just practicing at home, playing for fun, or playing for people. I have been very lucky to have had excellent teachers and a lot of understanding neighbours over the years as you might imagine! No complaints from neighbours in almost 40 years is pretty impressive I think! Playing the pipes is a pleasure in itself but it is an absolute honour and a privilege to be able to play at some of the most important moments in people’s lives. I have been very fortunate to have been asked to pipe at weddings, funerals, parties, corporate and charity events. I have been playing now for almost 40 years, all the way from picking up a practice chanter for the first time until now. I performed in solo competitions, pipe bands, folk bands and at many special occasions and events. I was around 10 or 11 years old when I played in my first competition on chanter and every time I have played since, regardless of where, when or why, I treat every single one with the same importance Piping at my first wedding, aged 14, was a huge deal for me and every single special occasion or event that I have played at since has been equally as big a deal. I am enjoying my piping now more than ever and hope you will too. Thank you for taking the time to drop by my website and I hope that I may have the honour of playing for you at some point. After all, no occasion or event in Scotland is complete without the bagpipes. Take care and slainte mhath

Personal Message from the Manager

Name of Wedding Contact: Tom MacArthur
Hi, It would be my privilege to be a part of your special day. Each wedding is as individual as the people who are getting married. In my view there is no such thing as a standard wedding. Each one has it’s own individual touches and that is as it should be. As such I treat every occasion individually in terms of what is required in terms of where to play, when to play and what you would like me to play. It is your day and you should have exactly what you want.

would definitely recommend Tam
We used Tam for our wedding on 25th September at St Luke's & Winged Ox. From first contacting Tam everything was so easy and I could tell he just wants to do everything he can to make it perfect for the couple. Tam piped both myself and my wife down the aisle to songs that had meaning to us. I would definitely recommend Tam. It was a really straightforward process from start to end 😊 thank you. great at what he does and his prices are great
My husband and I would like to thank Tam for playing at our wedding in September 2022. Such a lovely, friendly man, great at what he does and his prices are great. As a bride I didn’t hear a lot of the bagpipes, mostly being piped out married and piped into dinner. But what from what I did hear he was great and really created an atmosphere. He also came and played for us on our original date that was postponed back in 2020 as well and was fab. Thanks again Tam
