Full Description
I'm Glyn Morris, an Edinburgh-based Wedding Bagpiper for hire of over 30 years experience, and an active playing member of a top Grade 1 pipe band. I provide a friendly Bagpiper for Hire service to add Scottish flair and ceremony to your wedding. I believe it is most important that your bagpiper looks the part, as well as sounding it. I wear the Piper's No.1 Full Highland Dress and I refuse to wear any kilt wear and uniform accessories which are not of the finest quality. I am confident that there are very few pipers outwith the military who have such fine uniform and know how to wear it. I don't charge any extra for wearing the Full Highland Dress. I offer a more comprehensive bagpiper service by also playing Scottish Small Pipes. These have a softer and mellower sound than the Highland Pipes, and are ideal for the more restrained parts of your Wedding Ceremony, such as playing the Bride up the Aisle and during the Signing of the Register.

Hi, thanks for checking out my page here. I realise you may not be too sure about when it's appropriate for a piper to perform at your wedding. In which case, please check my website, www.scottishbagpipers.com/wedding-bagpiper and get in touch. I have played for hundreds of happy couples and will be able offer advice to make sure any piping fits in seamlessly with your plans and your venue. I'm happy to have a phone/video call at a time of your convenience to discuss things in detail.

What is your most memorable wedding?

Too many to decide from! Ones which particularly stick out, are when I played for an Italian couple having their wedding outside at the beautiful Seacliff Beach in East Lothian with just their two witnesses in attendance. Also a wedding held in a back garden during Covid restrictions, and another held in the the spectacular Mansfield Traquair Centre, Edinburgh (I love the acoustics there)!

What about your business are you most proud of?

Offering real value - A Grade 1 piper, impeccable Full Highland Dress, reciting the proper "Piper's Toast" (Robert Burns), and giving a special gift to the Bride.
