Sam Grew Full Description

For the past five years, I've had the privilege of performing at weddings across the UK, helping couples create the perfect soundtrack for one of the biggest days of their lives. Whether you're dreaming of a romantic ceremony, relaxed drinks reception, or elegant wedding breakfast, I'll work with you to make the music feel completely personal.

No two weddings are the same, and I don't believe your music should be either. I learn entirely by ear, which means I can create bespoke piano arrangements of almost any song. From timeless classics and film scores to indie favourites, pop anthems and unexpected guilty pleasures, I'll transform your favourite music into beautiful piano versions. I also love creating unique mashups, combining songs that mean something to you into one seamless arrangement.

Choosing your music should be exciting, not stressful. I'll guide you through the process by recording personalised voice notes of your song ideas in different styles, helping you hear how they'll sound before the big day. Together, we'll create a soundtrack that's uniquely yours.

Alongside weddings, I also record and release my own piano arrangements, with over 5 million Spotify streams, 80,000 monthly listeners, 15,000 followers across social media, and more than 2 million likes on my videos. My music has connected with listeners around the world, and I've even had the opportunity to perform in the iconic wedding scene from the finale of Gavin & Stacey.

Musically, I hold two professional piano diplomas, combining formal training with a modern, creative approach to arranging and performing. This allows me to adapt effortlessly to the atmosphere of your day, whether you're looking for something understated and elegant or a setlist full of meaningful contemporary songs.

Above all, my goal is simple: to create live music that feels personal, relaxed, and unforgettable—giving you and your guests moments you'll remember long after the final note!

FAQs

How does it all work!

Nice and easy! 🎹 Once you've booked, I'll ask you to send me a list of songs you love. Don't worry if it's a random mix of movie soundtracks, indie classics, cheesy pop, and Elton John—that's completely normal!

From there, I'll record voice notes of your favourites in different piano styles and send them over, so you can hear how they might sound on the day. It's a fun way to experiment and usually helps narrow down the perfect choices.

We'll chat back and forth as much (or as little!) as you need. Whether it's over email, messages, or on calls, I'll help guide you through the options until everything feels just right.

My aim is to make choosing your music feel exciting, not overwhelming—and to create a soundtrack that feels completely you.

What if we don't know what music we want?

Many couples start with, "We have no idea!" That's absolutely fine. I'll help you discover what suits your day by sending piano versions of different songs and styles, and together we'll build a playlist that feels personal rather than just ticking boxes

Can you learn our special song?

Absolutely! If there's a song that's meaningful to you both, I'd love to include it. Whether it's your first dance, the song from your first date, or something completely unexpected, I'll arrange it for solo piano so it feels natural and beautiful.

Do we have to choose every song?

Not at all. If you have a few favourites, I'll happily build the rest of the set around your taste. Think of it as creating the perfect soundtrack rather than a rigid playlist.

What if something doesn't go to plan on the day?

Weddings rarely run exactly to schedule—and that's completely normal! If the ceremony starts late or timings change, I'll simply adapt. I follow your day rather than the clock, so the music always fits the moment.

Can we mix genres?

Definitely! One minute could be a classical piece, the next a Disney favourite, followed by Taylor Swift or Coldplay. The beauty of solo piano is that almost any song can be transformed into something elegant and timeless.
