Not every wedding wants the usual covers band. We're Never Dakota, a Northampton four-piece playing the 2000s pop punk, emo and rock anthems your guests grew up on: Blink-182, My Chemical Romance, Paramore, Fall Out Boy, Green Day, All Time Low, Sum 41 and more, plus a few newer favourites. Loud, live and made for a dance floor full of people shouting every word.
Our line-up is vocals, two guitars, bass and drums, with backing vocals from the band and backing tracks where a song needs them, so the big choruses sound the way you remember them.
As standard we play one two-hour set, bring our own full PA and lighting, and arrive two hours before to set up. Add-ons include your first dance played live, and us acting as DJ with music through our PA before and after the set.
We're a great fit for alternative weddings, and for any couple whose playlist is more Welcome to the Black Parade than Mr Blue Sky. All our kit is PAT tested and we carry public liability insurance.
Based in Northampton, we play weddings, parties and events across Northamptonshire and further afield. Travel is included up to 45 minutes from Northampton. Send us your date and we'll come back to you with availability and a quote.

How long do you play for?
Our standard is one two-hour set, straight through. We arrive two hours before the start time to set up and soundcheck. If your day needs something different, tell us and we'll talk it through.
What songs do you play?

Can you play our first dance?
Yes. We can learn your first dance and play it live as an add-on. Other requests in the pop punk, emo and rock style can be talked through when you book.
What do you need from the venue?
Enough space for the four of us and at least two power sockets close to the performance area. We bring our own full PA and lighting, all PAT tested, and carry public liability insurance. We play indoors and outdoors.
How far will you travel?
Travel is included up to 45 minutes from Northampton. Further than that, we add a travel charge to your quote.
How do we book and pay?
Send us your date and we'll come back with availability and a quote. Payment is by bank transfer once you've accepted your quote.
