Lee Mathews

It was so lovely having Lee play at my son’s christening, everyone said how much they enjoyed hearing him play and how fantastic he was. He really added an extra special element to the day. Plus he was such a lovely person. If I ever need a pianist again in the future I would be sure to book him again. So pleased that I decided to book him for the Christening.

We were put in touch with Lee through his agency and he immediately got in touch to establish what our event was, how many attending and the type of piano pieces we would like to hear. We were having a family party for 18 people at a rental house. It was my parents joint 90th birthday Lee arrived on time and played fantastically well for an hour and a half. I’m convinced he would have gone on longer but dinner was to be served. The variety of his catalogue was fantastic and he appealed to all the family. Initially he played a variety of pieces from his repertoire. Then requests starting coming in and he played virtually all of them by ear. What turned out to be one or two requests quickly turned in a request show and Lee’s ability to hear a song/ piece in his head play it was breathtaking. His improvisation was quite astonishing. If you are thinking of hiring a pianist for an event look no further. He was simply amazing. One really emotional performance and a good guy to boot!!

We hired Lee to play in the background throughout our wedding day and also supply the music for the Ceremony and we were blown away with how great it was. He played beautifully the whole day and the setup of his piano looked fantastic.

Thanks so much for playing at our wedding. Lee was brilliant, from communicating beforehand to his skills on the day. I was really glad that our guests gave him a big round of applause on the day because he really deserved it. A mix of modern and classic songs it really added a classy ambience while people were eating. We'd definitely hire Lee again!

Lee made our day pure class. From the moment he arrived to set up he put us at our ease & we realised what a professional Lee was/is. It was great to hear him playing in the hotel lobby while our guests arrived, he played the perfect mix of songs we’d asked to be included. He was great during the ceremony & for the drinks reception afterwards. Everyone loved his playing & his friendly approach to everyone who chatted to him. We could not recommend him enough to anyone who would be thinking of hiring him. We’re now just thinking of other occasions within the family where we’d love Lee to play.
