I’m Kynet Jah, a professional DJ and music producer based in Manchester, creating stylish, energetic and memorable wedding experiences across Manchester, the North West and beyond.
My approach is all about reading the room and creating a natural musical journey throughout your celebration. From relaxed, sophisticated sounds during drinks and dinner to an energetic, Ibiza-inspired dancefloor later in the evening, I bring together house, soulful house, disco, funk, electronic, R&B, classics and carefully selected party favourites.
I’m highly versatile and never believe in forcing every wedding into the same playlist. Every couple, venue and group of guests is different. Before your wedding, I’ll take the time to understand your musical tastes, favourite artists, must-play songs and songs you definitely don’t want to hear. On the night, I read the crowd and adapt in real time, making sure the music evolves naturally with the atmosphere.
More than just the evening DJ, I can help create the soundtrack for different parts of your wedding day, including ceremony music, drinks reception, background music and the main evening celebration. I can also provide professional sound solutions and microphones for speeches where required.
As a music producer, I bring a particularly strong understanding of rhythm, sound and musical flow to my DJ sets. My background spans electronic music, house, reggae, dub, soul, hip-hop and other genres, giving me the versatility to move comfortably between sophisticated daytime atmosphere and a packed late-night dancefloor.
I’m also able to help create bespoke entertainment experiences by working with other professional musicians and performers when appropriate. This can include collaborations with live saxophonists, percussionists, singers and other musicians alongside the DJ, creating a more dynamic live-music experience for your guests.

What’s the difference between your Wedding DJ Experience and Full Day Wedding Music Experience?
The Wedding DJ Experience focuses on your evening celebration, with up to 4 hours of professional DJ entertainment. The Full Day Wedding Music Experience also covers your ceremony and drinks reception, creating a complete musical soundtrack for your wedding day.
Can we choose the music and make song requests?
Absolutely. I’ll work with you before the wedding to understand your favourite music, must-play songs and any tracks you’d prefer to avoid. You can also send requests during the planning process and on the day.
Can you play our first dance and special songs?
Of course. I’ll make sure your first dance, entrance, cake cutting and other special moments are prepared in advance and timed perfectly with your wedding schedule.
Do you provide the sound system and lighting?
Yes. Professional sound equipment and dancefloor lighting are available as part of the Wedding DJ Experience. I’ll make sure the setup is suitable for your venue and guest numbers.
Can you provide music for the ceremony and drinks reception?
Yes. My Full Day Wedding Music Experience can cover your ceremony, drinks reception and evening celebration, creating a smooth musical journey throughout the day.
Can you also be the MC for speeches and announcements?
Yes. I can provide friendly MC support for introductions, speeches, announcements and key moments, helping the evening flow naturally while keeping the focus on you and your guests.
How do you choose the music for our wedding?
Every wedding is different. I’ll learn your musical tastes and understand your guests before the day, then read the dancefloor and adapt my set in real time. My aim is a packed dancefloor without forcing a fixed playlist.
