What Makes Kickin’ Up Stones Different?
Kickin’ Up Stones are not a faceless agency act — when you enquire or book, you deal directly with the band. That means friendly communication, a more personal service and no unnecessary middleman.
We are a full live band built for proper celebrations, bringing together powerhouse vocals, guitars, keys, bass, drums, harmonies and years of experience on the live circuit. Our aim is simple: to read the room, fill the dance floor and give your guests a night they will remember long after the final song.
How Long Do Kickin’ Up Stones Perform For?
Our standard live band package includes up to 2 hours of live music, usually split into sets to suit your event.
A typical format is 2 x 60-minute sets, but we can be flexible depending on your timings, venue and celebration. We can also provide background music between live sets if required, helping keep the atmosphere going throughout the evening.
Do You Provide Your Own PA System and Lighting?
Yes. Kickin’ Up Stones are fully self-contained and provide our own instruments, amps, PA system, microphones, monitors and stage lighting.
This means your venue usually only needs to provide a suitable performance area and safe access to power. We scale our setup to suit the size and feel of the event, from pubs and clubs to weddings, parties, festivals and private functions.
How Much Space and Power Do You Need?
Ideally, we ask for a minimum performance area of around 4m x 3m.
We can adapt for smaller stages or tighter spaces where needed, so please let us know your venue details in advance. For power, we usually require 2–3 standard 13-amp plug sockets close to the performance area.
Do You Need Parking at the Venue?
Yes, easy access for loading in and out is very helpful.
We bring a full live band setup, including instruments, PA and lighting, so nearby parking or a suitable loading area makes setup smoother and helps us keep everything running on time. If there are parking restrictions or charges, please let us know before the event.
How Long Do You Need to Set Up?
We usually allow around 60 minutes to load in and set up, plus time for a soundcheck.
A typical soundcheck takes around 15 minutes once the equipment is in place. We always aim to be organised, professional and discreet, making sure everything is ready before your guests arrive or the live music begins.
How Do We Confirm a Booking?
To check availability, simply send us your event date, venue or location, timings and the type of celebration you are planning.
Once the details are agreed, we’ll confirm the package, price and next steps. Your booking is secured once the agreed booking requirements have been completed, so everything is clear and confirmed in advance.
Do You Need Food, Drink or a Dressing Room?
For longer bookings, refreshments for the band are always appreciated.
A private space to change, prepare and store empty cases or personal belongings is also very helpful, especially for weddings, private parties and corporate events. We’ll discuss any practical requirements with you in advance so everything is simple on the day.
Are You Insured?
Yes. Kickin’ Up Stones hold Public Liability Insurance, which many venues require before allowing live music on site.
Certificates can be provided on request, helping keep the planning process smooth for you, your venue and your event organiser.
Can We Choose the Songs You Play?
Yes. We’re happy to take song requests in advance and will always do our best to include favourites where they suit the band and the flow of the set.
Our repertoire includes rock, pop, indie, classic anthems and party covers designed to keep guests singing, dancing and enjoying the night. We’ll shape the set around the mood of your event and what works best for the crowd.
