How far in advance should I book a wedding band?
As soon as possible! The most popular wedding bands get booked 18-24 months in advance, so it goes without saying that the sooner you book your entertainment, the greater choice you'll have to choose from!
How much does a wedding band cost?
Wedding bands come in all shapes and sizes and as a result, so do the prices. On average, a 3-piece wedding band will cost around £1200-£1500. Larger bands have more musicians to pay so they tend to cost more. It's also very important to note that all travel costs are included in the price, so if a band has to travel hours to get to your venue, the price will be considerably higher. By booking a band based close to your wedding venue, you'll save a lot of money!
My venue has a sound limiter - is this a problem?
Not at all! We have hundreds of bands available who are easily able to play within the limits of most sound limiters, as well as fully acoustic bands who can play under 85 decibels if need be! Make sure to check with your adviser before you book, and we'll help match you with the bands that will be able to play with no problems.
What types of entertainment do you offer?
We have a huge selection of entertainers on offer - not just wedding bands! You'll find solo musicians, classical performers, acrobats, fire breathers, magicians and more! Whatever you have in mind, we can find you the perfect entertainment to help make your big day completely unforgettable!
How long do wedding bands perform for?
Most wedding bands will play for a total of two full hours, usually over two 60-minute sets. Alternatively, you can usually choose to have 3x 40-minute sets instead if this suits your schedule better. Some bands offer extra sets and even daytime sets as well, so you can have live entertainment to brighten up your drinks reception as well!
Do we need to book a DJ as well as a wedding band?
Absolutely not! When you hire a wedding band, music is played between sets to keep the party in full flow. Most bands are more than happy for you to choose which songs are added to the playlist, so this is a great way of hearing your favourite tunes, even if they're not in your band's repertoire. Sometimes bands offer a 'manned DJ service', which means that a member of the band is on hand to take requests.
How to we choose the right band for us?
Choosing your wedding band is one of the most important decisions you'll make in the wedding planning process. As a general rule, we'd alway recommend thinking of your guests first and foremost. Most weddings are made up of guests aging from 8-80 so a wide range of music, including a good dose of classic floor fillers will keep everyone dancing. To make sure the process is as stress-free and easy as possible, we recommend booking a professional band with years of experience. You'll receive better communication and a belter of a performance on the day. And of course, for peace of mind and cover for any unforeseen mishaps that may happen, you should always book through a reliable and trusted agency who will be able to find cover so your big day goes without a hitch (other than the intended one of course!)
