From Prince to Madonna, Michael Jackson to Elton John, Lionel Richie to Luther Vandross, Human League to Depeche Mode, A-Ha to Depeche Mode, Duran Duran to Spandau Ballet and many more - Cinnamon Street specialise in playing all the huge party pop hits of the 1980's, with a sound that has been described as 'like listening to the cd' on numerous occasions! One of the things that sets this band apart from the competition is the medleys they perform. There are several throughout the set and seamlessly blend the best bits of many classic hits, that may just lose people from the dance floor if played in their entirety. The band utilise some classic '80s equipment, together with cutting edge technology and a top of the range sound system to produce a live sound as close to a concert experience as possible, whatever the venue, coupled together with a classy light show. The band are hugely experienced in Weddings, having performed at most of the prestigious venues throughout Surrey and Sussex and know how to make your wedding reception a night to remember. The set list can be tailored to your taste, but is carefully designed with one purpose in mind - to get your guests up on the dance floor and to keep them there! Cinnamon Street also offer an optional DJ service where space and/or budget is an issue. Most couples find this to be a desirable and cost effective route, due to the fact that it seems pointless spending hundreds of pounds on a separate DJ, when they will only have around an hour (max in our experience) when the band aren't playing. You are booking a band because you want LIVE music at your reception, and the band fully understand and embrace that. We have Public Liability insurance cover up to 10m.
