Celtic Clan Full Description
Celtic Clan plays a HUGE range of material. Every set is tailored at the event and the balance roughly divided up as follows: Irish classics (Wild Rover / Fields of Athenry/ Irish Rover) etc.... A very small selection of old time and traditional music (just one or two of these) Irish/Celtic artists' pop - The Pogues, The Proclaimers, Dexy's Midnight Runners, The Waterboys, Steve Earle (Galway Girl) etc..... And several Ceilidh dances with a caller, so everyone knows what steps to do and can get involved. PLUS Middle of the road general pop (old and new) - Failsafe stuff like 'Valerie'; 'Perfect' (Fairground Attraction); Daydream Believer; Ho Hey (Lumineers), Sex on Fire etc

Personal Message from the Manager

Name of Wedding Contact: Ruth Graham
Hi - thanks for looking. We've played over 500 weddings to date, with many repeat customers. We specialise in fun, slick professional delivery and great music and harmonies. We are suitable for ANYONE - if you want celtic/irish - you can have it. Or if you want general rock./pop etc, we simply miss out that content, and do the 'normal' stuff instead! We look forward to working for you.

Frequently Asked Questions
(9)

What is your most memorable wedding?

We can't pick one out, as they are mostly all so fantastic! But we do remember particular people that we've worked for on several occasions (we love it when a christening comes in after the wedding)!

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Fun, eclectic, slick, inclusive, professional

What about your business are you most proud of?

Keeping it going for so long

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Have a band if you can afford it. It adds SO much more than just a DJ.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

A table with candles on, and photographs of 'those who are remembered in spirit' - very moving!

Describe your typical process with a couple.

They enquire, I send a quote. They can ask more questions, or if they're happy - they place the deposit. I send the contract queries, and when I know the answers, draw up the contract. 4 weeks before the couple pay the balance. I check in to make sure all is well and log any changes. We turn up on time . Party commences!

What makes a romantic first dance?

A good song and a couple that are genuinely doing it because they want to - not because they have to!

What is your number one floor-filler?

Seriously - we barely ever have a floor that's not full - so we can't answer that one.

Which band from the past would you most like to have been part of?

Abba
