What is your most memorable wedding?
I had the pleasure of performing for my secondary school music teacher in summer 2021 and it was a very 'full circle' moment for me as she was one of the people in my life who encouraged me to follow my career in music and performing for her and her new husband was an incredible honour, the whole day was like a private music festival it was so much fun!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Acoustic, pop, folky, soft, fun
What about your business are you most proud of?
I am honestly so proud just to be asked to share such a special part in my couples lives and to provide music for their celebrations! It's so exciting getting to know about their favourite songs and to have the pleasure of entertaining their friends and family.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
When thinking about entertainment I would always recommend having something going on during the Reception Drinks, as it's a time when your guests are mingling and you'll be off taking photos. Whether that's live music or a photo station with polaroids or a guest book!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
- At the enquiry stage I'm here to answer any of your questions usually over email or Insta DM. My prices and rates are all laid out in packages for the different stages of the day.
- I use an Online Booking System so once a quote is sent and accepted, you can find everything in the one place which is super easy for me and my couple's to use.
- I then send over my Setlist and how many songs I'll need you to choose for the day and start chatting about any initial song requests! (I love learning new songs).
- A month before the Wedding I check in to firm up all the timings, logistics, song requests and check in with you! Usually over a Zoom call.
- Then it's counting down till the big day!
What makes a romantic first dance?
I have a tip if you're unsure whether you want a first dance in front of everyone - there's a moment between the Reception Drinks and Meal where the event manager or ushers will get your guests seated to welcome you in for the Wedding Breakfast. I've played a private first dance during this moment before and it is SO romantic and personal and a breather for you both to have fun and chat and dance.
I have never done the same song for a first dance! Everyone has such different choices and I love it when it's a song that people might not expect done in an acoustic way. I can always speed up or slow down a song if you want a different feel to the original.
What is your number one floor-filler?
My 80s, 90s and 00s mashups!
Which band from the past would you most like to have been part of?
