'Rock-ceilidh' band and disco. We blend well-known rock riffs into our traditional ceilidh sets, played on electric fiddle, electric guitar, bass and drums. All dance instructions given.

Our quotes include entertainment for a pre-arranged block of up to four consecutive hours before midnight, including DJ set if required and our travel costs within 50 miles of Glasgow (extra charges if further). For entertaining in excess of four hours, or after midnight the fee is an additional £35 per person per half hour. All our fully PAT tested sound and light equipment is included, and (as MU members) we have public liability insurance of up to £10m.

Booking the BRCB and disco means you get a full 4 piece ‘rock-ceilidh’ band comprising electric fiddle, electric guitar, bass and drums. We are all highly experienced and skilled musicians. We play toe-tapping high energy ceilidh tunes blended with snippets and riffs from many modern songs. Your guests will be in safe hands, even if complete ceilidh novices. As an experienced ceilidh dance caller I will guide them step by step through the most popular dances, and a few more unusual dances too. This ensures that everyone will be able to fully participate in your big day. We bring our own pat-tested sound and light equipment and also have PLI.

The Best Night

Bass Rock Ceilidh Band played at our wedding in March and they were phenomenal. I loved the mix of traditional ceilidh dancing with little riffs and beats of rock songs added in. All of our guests have since said how fun and unique the ceilidh was. We are both quite alternative in our music tastes and the DJ section of the night was perfect. I was so happy to see so many guests dancing. Thank you so much for bringing the best music and entertainment to the night.

Dancing a Ceilidh with all your loved ones is the best!

We hired a 2 part band and they were amazing. Great players and fantastic at calling the dances too - to a room full of Aussies who had never done them before. Was an amazing experience, 10/10! Didn't have time to talk to everyone on the day, but we got to dance with most people which was unforgettable.

I highly recommend these guys!!!

We booked these guys for our wedding night ceilidh and we had an absolutely amazing night!!! It was the best! We had a lot of international people who have never been to a ceilidh before and these guys were absolutely fab at explaining and helping everyone out. Best Ceilidh band

We booked Bass Rock Ceilidh Band for our wedding and we couldn't have been happier! From the start, the communication with Simon was great! Half of our wedding guests were German and completely new to Ceilidh and the band was really patient with teaching them the different dances, everyone had so much fun and in the end our German friends were completely in love with Ceilidh. And everyone loved the short bits of Rock songs in between as well. Afterwards there was a DJ set with a playlist we put together, which was a lot of fun as well :) All in all, a huge thanks to Bass Rock Ceilidh Band for an unforgettable night!
