Alex Lamb - Pianist

From the moment we booked him, he kept in touch and took the time to find out about the style of music we wanted, including our requests for some specific tunes. He sent us a video of himself playing the tunes so we got a real feel for how it would sound on the day. He was more than happy with any changes we made. He arrived promptly at the wedding venue, smartly dressed and was very friendly and approachable. He was right on cue, many of the guests conveyed to us how good Alex was.

We honestly can’t thank Alex enough for being such a special part of our wedding day. His beautiful playing created such a wonderful atmosphere throughout the day, and so many of our guests commented on how incredible he was. Alex played the grand piano during our drinks reception, creating the perfect elegant backdrop as we celebrated with our guests. He then brought his baby grand piano for the wedding breakfast, which made the whole experience feel even more personal and special.

Alex was so easy and relaxed to work with—completely stress-free. He quietly set up in the room and just did his thing, creating a beautiful atmosphere without needing any direction. Before the day, he asked us for a few of our favourite songs and thoughtfully included them in his playlist, which made everything feel so personal. The sound of the piano was stunning and added such a special touch to the whole day. We absolutely loved having Alex as part of our celebration.

Alex is not only a fantastic pianist but also a lovely guy. He made our wedding day so special. He didn't hesitate to learn some slightly more eclectic choices like video game theme songs. Listening to him play was just delightful. All our guests told us how wonderful the music was. He was professional, smart, and just took our wedding day to a whole new level. He was happy to keep the secret of my walking down the aisle song from my husband to be and jazzed up our leaving the ceremony song.

From the very beginning, he was so accommodating and responsive. If you’re looking for a talented pianist who will not only play beautifully but also be a joy to work with, I can’t recommend Alex highly enough. His music brought an extra layer of sophistication and warmth to our wedding, and I would absolutely encourage any couple looking for classic, elegant entertainment to book him for their big day. I really wanted to thank you so much, your playing was amazing and I honestly found myself just sat getting lost in the music throughout the day. It was perfect for setting the different moods needed throughout the day. I will be honest with you we spent a long time deciding whether or not live music was required and I can definitely say it was and it was one of my favourite parts of the day ( other then getting married I suppose 😁). The whole experience was amazing—he was so informative, even recording trial versions to ensure he was playing the right pieces for us. It was such a pleasure that Alex could play for us at our wedding at Cockcliffe Country House. Alex is the utmost professional and the music he played at our wedding really complimented the day. He even learnt a few songs for us which I believe wasn't in his repertoire. We would have no trouble in recommending Alex for any occasion. The day goes so quick and I can only really remember snippets of the day, but the music Alex played for us during the ceremony really stands out for us.

Alex has been amazing throughout the entire process - from our initial video call, the string of personal requests made, Alex put together a 25 minute preview video where he brought our requests to life. With our D&D wedding theme on the day he arrived in great time, had no issue relocating between 2 rooms that we had set up and our guests loved his playing during our drinks reception.
