1st Dance Events is a family run business providing the ultimate entertainment package to your event throughout Essex & Suffolk. Recommended by many and totally dedicated to nothing but the Wedding & Corporate Event industry, we pride ourselves on not being your average cheesy wedding DJ!
It’s the 21st Century, does every wedding need to be Macarena and Barbie Girl? No! Don’t get us wrong, there is a time and place for every song and if you request it or the time is right when reading the crowd, we may drop it but, would you listen to this on a banging night out with friends? No! So, we bring our years of club experience to your special event! State of the art industry standard equipment, flashing, controllable lights and most importantly, songs mixed live before your eyes.

Without a doubt, our most memorable wedding was at Branches park for the special day of R&S. The music choice, the crowd, the venue, the atmosphere!

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
The happy couple's surname in twinkling led lights. A twist on the more common 'LOVE' letters.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
We have a fixed price for each service we offer and do not believe in making it up as we go along! If you're on our doorstep or 20 miles down the road, the same service is offered at the same prices which can be obtained from our website. Contact us via email, telephone or Whatsapp. We will then engage in conversation with our happy couple to discuss their requirements, our availability and options. A booking form will then be sent to the couple to complete and return to secure the date. The stress is then over, as simple as that, your DJ is booked! We then are happy to answer as many questions moving forward as you may have prior to our finer details form being sent to you in advance of the wedding where we ask you some more in depth questions relating to the order of the day/night, 1st dance song & version etc etc. Another weight lifted, armed with both completed forms, we're set to go and excited to be a part of 'the happiest day of your lives'.

The correct volume, an intimate ambience created by a steady controlled lighting scene.
What is your number one floor-filler?
There are so many go to floor fillers amongst each genre of music but if Freed From Desire doesn't work - nothing will.
