What size Tipi configuration do I require?
Our Packages page is a great guide in understanding the space required during the initial stages of planning. If the Tipi or Tipis are to be utilised as a formal meal, we would recommend 60 guests per Tipi. If the event is informal affair without seating then each Tipi can accommodate up to 70 guests.
What areas do you cover?
We are based in Kent & Essex and cover surrounding counties including Surrey, Sussex and Hertfordshire. We are happy to travel anywhere in the country however a delivery charge may apply.
Can the Tipis be installed on any surface, other than grass?
We do not provide Tipis for hard standing or concrete. It is a very expensive process for the client and generally involves a crane lifting heavy concrete ballasts in place.
Is it only dedicated event venues where Tipis can be installed?
Most definitely not. Our stunning structures can be installed in almost anywhere providing there is both access and space.
We are concerned that we may not have enough space. Would you visit the grounds first before the booking is confirmed?
Yes. If a customer wishes to proceed with a booking we will not accept a deposit until we have conducted a site visit to ascertain if there is both adequate access for our vehicles and adequate space for the Tipis. Naturally this also gives our customers the opportunity to meet with us and ask any questions. The site visit is conducted free of charge with no obligation to book
I am concerned with the weather. What if it is particularly cold or rains?
Our Tipis are imported from Sweden and manufactured by TentTipi. They are designed to withstand the harshest of conditions. The tents are made with a unique specialised water repellent canvas which can withstand the heaviest downpours and long summer days. We use hard wearing DandyDura matting as a footprint which includes a waterproof membrane. If the temperature falls below 15 degrees we recommend and supply indirect thermostatic tipi heating. A decision is generally made on heating during the set up once we have a greater understanding of the short term weather forecast.
Do you provide furniture & lighting?
We provide a vast choice of furnishings, lighting and extras. The first decision you will need to make is your choice of table. This can be our banqueting style trestle tables or traditional rounded tables. We then work you to add any additional extras and lighting, creating a vibe to suit your theme and celebration. We also supply Bars, Pizza Ovens, dance floors, staging, settees, interior fire pits, exterior lighting, catering tents and pretty much everything required to host a festival themed party.
Can I get to view the Tipis?
We host two open days/evenings every year in Spring and Autumn at an affiliated venue generally within Kent or Essex. This will give you the opportunity to see the structures and talk to one of our event coordinators and discuss your day and plans in greater detail. We advertise our open days on our social media platforms and website. Alternatively you can sign up to our newsletter.
What is the booking process?
After the initial enquiry we will provide you with a link to a personalised cloud based dashboard. Your dashboard will include your quotation, a proposed floor plan and lots of information in relation to planning a festival themed Tipi Event. At this stage you may have some further questions and wish to amend the quotation. We will work with you and will continue to work with you throughout the planning process. Once you are happy with the amendments you can request a site visit through your personalized dashboard. We will then provide some dates that are convenient for you and your family. We will then conduct the site visit ensuring the grounds are suitable for a Tipi Event and answer any further questions or concerns you may have.We fully respect that the events industry is a competitive environment and you may well have received numerous quotations. We also understand that the prospect of an outdoor event may feel like a daunting experience.
How do you accept payment?
We ask for a 20% deposit with the balance due no later than 4 weeks prior to your celebrations. Our preferred payment option is BACS direct bank transfer as this service is free. We can accept remote credit card payments however there is a 3% charge that we pass on from the merchant.
