One of the best things about a tipi wedding is the freedom to choose a location that's personal to you. Whether it's a family farm, a private garden or an open field, a tipi can transform almost any suitable outdoor space into a stunning wedding venue.

The ideal location is a level grass field or gently sloping meadow. Firm, well drained ground is best. You would need to consult us if you decide to do any grounds work after a site visit.

The Java crew arrive with a truck and 18ft trailer carrying the tipis and equipment. A usual 5 bar gate access and swing availability is needed.

The tipis are secured using ground stakes, so we'll need to check for any underground services such as water pipes, electricity cables or drainage. The area should be free from overhead power lines and low-hanging branches.

It really depends on what you've got inside the tipi. Most of our couples will hire a 45kva generator to ensure power is taken care of. If you're having catering, a band, or anything with a bigger power demand, we'd usually recommend hiring a generator to make sure everything runs smoothly. If it's just lighting and a few small bits, we can sometimes power them from your property if that's close by. We're always happy to chat through your plans and advise on the best option!

Each tipi can comfortably seat up to 80 guests. If you're planning a larger celebration, we can link multiple tipis together to create the perfect space for your day. Many couples choose to add extra tipis not just for additional seating, but also for a bar, dance floor, lounge or chill out area. Every setup is tailored to suit your guest numbers and how you'd like to use the space.

Not at all! Our tipis are designed to feel light, airy and welcoming. Every pole is wrapped in beautiful fairy lights, creating a warm and magical atmosphere, and the sides of the tipis can be opened up to suit the weather, letting in plenty of natural light during the day. As evening falls, the fairy lights create a lovely ambient glow that's cosy and inviting. Bright enough for everyone to relax and enjoy themselves, without ever feeling too dark or too harsh.

We want you to have plenty of time to make the tipi space feel completely your own. We always aim to leave at least one clear day before your wedding for you to add your personal touches, style the tipis and bring your vision to life without feeling rushed.

Our usual build days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, giving you time to prepare before your celebration. After your event, we’re flexible with our collection schedule and will work around your plans wherever possible. Our usual take-down days are Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, but we’ll always discuss the best option with you to make sure everything runs smoothly. Should you wish to use the tipis on the day after your wedding, just let us know when you book and we will schedule it into our diary.

We understand how much thought goes into creating your perfect day, so we’ll work with you to give you the time and space you need to make the tipis truly yours.

Our standard tipi hire includes everything you need to get started, including tables and benches, a dance floor, and beautiful fairy lights wrapped around every pole. We also include the free use of up to 10 décor items per table with every booking, so you can add those extra special touches at no additional cost. If you're looking to personalise your space even further, we have a huge range of additional large and small décor items available to hire, helping you create a celebration that's completely your own.

We offer a range of bar options to suit every celebration. If you'd like us to take care of everything, our full bar package includes a fully stocked and staffed bar along with free event management, meaning we'll handle all the planning and logistics for you from the point of booking as well as being there on the day to run the event for you. If you'd prefer to arrange your own drinks, we offer dry hire bar structures or corkage packages, giving you the flexibility to create the bar set up that works best for your event and budget.
