We’re Flower Farm Floristry – a flower-growing, flower-loving floristry business based on our little farm in Burscough, Lancashire. We grow lots of the flowers we use ourselves, alongside beautiful British-grown and seasonal blooms, creating wedding flowers that are relaxed, natural, colourful and full of personality.
We love flowers that look like they’ve just been gathered from a really good country garden – not too perfect, not too formal and definitely not boring! From gorgeous bridal bouquets and bridesmaid flowers to buttonholes, table flowers, ceremony arrangements and statement installations, everything is designed around you, your venue and the time of year.
We offer bespoke wedding floristry for couples wanting us to take care of everything, our Collection Wedding Flowers for smaller weddings, and DIY flower buckets if you fancy getting stuck in and creating some of your own flowers.
With years of experience in floristry and teaching, we know our stuff – but we’re definitely not a stuffy, formal florist! We’re friendly, approachable and love helping couples work out what will look amazing without making the whole process complicated.
Most importantly, we believe flowers should be one of the things that makes your wedding feel like your wedding. They transform a venue, bring colour, atmosphere and personality, and make the whole day feel that bit more special.
Hopefully, very easy! We’re a small, friendly flower farm and floristry business, so you’ll deal directly with me, Clare, from your first enquiry through to your wedding day. I’m not a fan of overly formal florist speak or making things more complicated than they need to be. We’ll have a chat about your plans, what you love (and what you definitely don’t!), and then I’ll turn that into flowers that feel like you.
British and homegrown flowers are at the heart of what we do. I grow many of the flowers myself here on the farm in Burscough, and I’ll use them wherever they’re looking their best. Because nature doesn’t work to a wedding timetable, I also use carefully selected flowers from other growers - (local and from the world market) when I need a particular colour, shape or variety. The result is always seasonal, natural and full of personality.
Not at all! In fact, that’s quite normal. You don’t need to know the difference between a dahlia and a delphinium. I’ll guide you through the options and ask plenty of questions about your wedding, your style and the things you like. Pinterest boards, photos, dress colours and even a picture of your dog are all useful!
Ideally, as soon as you know your date and venue. Wedding dates can book up well in advance, particularly for popular summer weekends. If you’re hoping for lots of homegrown flowers, booking early also gives me the best chance to plan what I can grow especially for your wedding.
Yes. We offer different ways of working with us, from our Collection Wedding Flowers and DIY flower buckets through to a more bespoke full wedding floral design service. If you have a set budget, tell me at the start. I’d much rather work with you to make the most of it than design something beautiful that you can’t afford!
For full wedding floral design, delivery and setup can be included depending on your plans and location. Collection flowers and DIY buckets are designed for couples who are happy to collect from the flower farm and arrange or distribute the flowers themselves. We’ll make sure you know exactly what to expect before you book.
That’s one of the joys (and occasional headaches!) of growing flowers! I plan carefully and always have alternatives in mind, so if a particular crop doesn’t perform as expected, your wedding flowers won’t suddenly disappear. Nature might have the final say on exactly which flowers make it into your bouquet, but I’ll make sure they’re still beautiful.
We grow flowers, arrange flowers and actually know what it’s like to watch a crop go from a tiny seed to something in a bride’s bouquet. Our flowers are relaxed, colourful and natural rather than overly formal or “perfect”. I want your flowers to look as though they belong in your wedding, not as though they’ve been copied from a catalogue.
Absolutely. Our Collection Wedding Flowers and DIY buckets are perfect if you want beautiful seasonal flowers without the full wedding florist service. You can collect them from the farm and either arrange them yourself or have friends and family get involved. It’s a lovely way to make the flowers part of the fun!
Very! I’m a professionally qualified florist and have been working in floristry for over 20 years. I’ve run my own floristry business since 2007 and previously taught floristry at higher education level at Myerscough College, so flowers really are my thing!
I’ve also been growing flowers for my floristry work since 2011, so I have plenty of experience in both growing and designing with seasonal flowers. Flower Farm Floristry is fully insured - ask for a copy of our certificate, so you can relax knowing your wedding flowers are in experienced and professional hands.
