I, Rebecca, opened the doors to The Countryside Florist in 2011, aged just 18. With daily support from my wonderful Mam, Linda. After years of building a wonderful customer base and reputation, we could see that the demand for my Wedding creations was growing rapidly and decided that we needed to make a change. So, as of May 2018, we now solely create flowers for Weddings, Events and Funerals from our High Street premise in Skelton. Even after creating over 500 weddings, the buzz from handing a bridal bouquet over to our beautiful brides is always incredibly satisfying! My favourite part of the wedding flower experience, is meeting so many lovely couples, and learning about them, and their dreams for their big day. We pride ourselves on using only the freshest flowers, to create eye-catching and beautiful florals for Weddings all around the country, as we travel far and wide.

Hello there! Huge congratulations on your engagement and on beginning your wedding planning process! I know the process can sometimes be a bit daunting and stressful, but just try to keep relaxed and enjoy the experience instead of worrying about the small stuff...that is my top tip! With plenty of experience under my belt and having dressed and worked at lots of venues, I hope I can help you to choose the flowers of your dreams, and bring them to life. Love, Rebecca x

Everything I ever dreamed of!
Becca was amazing from start to finish! We have been to a lot of weddings and appreciate the cost of dressing your special day - but having been to those weddings we can whole heartedly say Becca is easily worth every penny. She held my hand, and made me smile, through every step and constantly went the extra mile when I just couldn't decide, or easily describe, what I was after. All I can say is when I saw the arrangements she had made us on the day she had totally hit (if not exceeded) the mark! They were everything my heart could have ever dreamed of. Thank you Becca (and your mum) for bringing my wedding together with your beautiful arrangements. Don't hesitate. Book Becca now before she gets snapped up! :)

Amazing Flowers and Perfect Service
Rebecca has been providing flowers for weddings at Danby Castle for a number of years. However, her styling never ceases to amaze us and every time she turns up we are always thrilled! She is most definitely a trend setter not a follower and if you are looking for your flowers to shout and scream in your wedding photos, then please, please do contact Rebecca. The flowers for Jenny and Gareth's wedding in October were out of this world and absolutely my favourite - look at that bouquet!! We cannot recommend her highly enough - go on give her a call!

Becca was absolutely amazing every step of the way throughout the process of planning my wedding. The flowers were a massive feture & she even used items that she was allergic to without ever complaining or making an issue of it. I will definitely be using The Countryside Florist again in the future, they are simply amazing.

We couldn't have asked for more from Rebecca and her team at The Countryside Florist. The wedding flowers were just what I asked for and more and the bouquets we ordered as gifts were amazing. The flowers were all of excellent quality and just how I imagined them to be. We received so many compliments from family and friends regarding how beautiful the flowers were. cannot fault the service and communication either. Fair price, excellent service, would highly recommend.

Rebecca's expertise was outstanding...
Rebecca's expertise was outstanding, she understood what we were wanting to gain with our chosen flowers for the day and was able to guide and advise on the colours we wanted by showing us her portfolio. Rebecca was approachable and very friendly, there was a relaxed atmosphere when we visited for a consultation and there was no pressure to book with her. I would definitely recommend The Countryside Florist to future brides and grooms

FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

My most memorable wedding was one I did back in 2017. It was the first wedding where the bride had asked me for a bouquet which is now known as my "wild style" bouquet. I had done some training in Kent in the January so that I had the knowledge and practice. It has turned out to be the bouquet that most of my brides refer to when they ask for a wild style, and the colour palette has been so incredibly popular with my couples since I made that!

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

I am trained in all styles of wedding floristry from traditional or modern, to wild and free. 5 of the words that come to mind when trying to describe my work would be: Flower-full (lots of variety!), natural, memorable, fresh...and I just can't help it, I know I am biased, but "beautiful"!

What about your business are you most proud of?

I am most proud of the reputation we have created and maintained. To be trusted to create the flowers for such an important time in people's lives, and play such a huge part of their big day, is something that always makes me feel so privileged even after doing so many weddings! I am so proud that in the reviews we get, not only are they commenting on how amazing the flowers were, but on how welcome we made them feel and how much fun the process was - and that is my aim!

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Make sure to contact your preferred and favourite suppliers early! Even if they are not yet taking bookings for your wedding year, they will advise you as to when the diary will be open for you to then organise appointments and get booked in so that you don't miss out.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

It is quite long winded as we put a lot of time and effort into it! Our full process can be viewed at: www.thecountrysideflorist.net/wedding-flower-guide … but the first step is always to make an enquiry on our website.

What is the most interesting thing you have put in a bouquet?

The most interesting "non flower" thing I have put in a bouquet so far would be pheasant feathers! They looked so brilliant and really enhanced the woodland theme of the day. Flower wise, I would say that I find ranunculus really "interesting" as they have so many petals and layers! They aren't an unusual flower at all, but I think they are mesmerising.

What should you do with the flowers after the wedding?

Enjoy them! Gift them out to guests, take them home with you and take care of them. Graves too, as sad as it may feel, it is a lovely way to remember those who could not be there on your special day. You can also organise with a specific floral preserving company who will organise for you to send them your bouquet and they will freeze dry it and preserve it forever! That is a brilliant keepsake.
