Calling all non-tradition brides and grooms! (Or brides & grooms who want something more unusual than your traditional wedding florals...)
At The Copper Cacti I specialise in alternative floral design, using the highest quality cacti, succulents and air-plants with foliage (dry or fresh… or both! Let’s not have boundaries here!!!!) and/or flowers (if you so fancy)for your big day. I aim to create whimsical, boho-luxe, woodland-rustic or funky & fun installations which show off your personality as a couple, and will give all your guests something to talk about for years to come!
By incorporating succulents, cacti and air-plants into your wedding decor, you get to keep an element of your special day forever (providing you look after them...) as a constant reminder of those magical moments! If sustainability is important to you, this is a massive bonus!
My Geometric Terrarium centre pieces are what The Copper Cacti is known for (my calling card if you will!) but I LOVE being creative and getting to make one of a kind pieces, so I am open to all ideas and challenges presented to me.

What is your most memorable wedding?
All of them have been memorable for their own reasons! I have had the pleasure to do more rustic weddings to more gothic style weddings all incorporating cacti, succulents and airplants! I absolutely loved making the large succulent and foliage bouquets in my profile picture.

Quirky, unique, unconventional, non-traditional and fun!
What about your business are you most proud of?
I love the sustainability element of my business. Being able to provide beautiful and affordable florals which can last a lifetime (if looked after) is such a pleasure
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Don’t be afraid to show your personality through your day! Whether it’s with the song you walk down the aisle to, to favours or even the entertainment. Weddings should be about you as a couple, and not what people “expect” a wedding to be.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I was able to do a wedding where each guest was gifted a cactus as a favour to keep as a reminder of the day. It’s a nice sustainable gift that won’t just get thrown away at the end of the day.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I tend to start everything via email or Instagram Where we find out the basic information and put together a quote. Once I have done this if they would like to book I will take a deposit and organise either a zoom call or face to face meeting to get more information in terms of themes and colours. I am available to meet the couple at the venue at anytime and personally love setting up WhatsApp chats with them so we can share ideas and inspo!
What is the most interesting thing you have put in a bouquet?
I think a cactus is always a unique thing to put in a bouquet. I do encourage the bride to not throw it though… that sounds like a trip to A&E no one wants!
Is there a flower that has specific symbolism that you would recommend for couples?
I love using filler flowers with personality to add extra texture to a design. I love wax flowers. The smell of lemon-balm they produce is just wonderful, and something brides and grooms sometimes may not consider is the sense of smell to create a memory of their wedding. Our eyes will see the flowers, our ears will hear the music, my hands will touch textures, but our sense of smell is often forgotten!
What is the most romantic flower and why?
I personally am a cactus girl so I’m probably not the best to ask about romantic flowers haha!
What should you do with the flowers after the wedding?
The great thing about the plants I use is they can be removed and planted into soil to be kept forever!
