Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Do YOU! Don't worry about what your Great Aunty Mary will think, go with what you and your partner love, this is your day, the one day that is all about you two!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
First I ask a few quick questions regarding venue, date & budget (you can find my price list on my website). Then, if I'm free and you're happy with my pricing, we can go ahead and arrange a consultation. This can be at your wedding venue, a coffee shop or at my studio. This is where we will go through all the details of your big day! I can talk you through all the options and we will discuss all things flowers, what you love and what you hate! By the end of the consultation, we will both be confident in knowing what you will receive a quote for. Then, around a week later, you will receive your bespoke quote, a personalised moodboard & my T&Cs. Any changes can then be made and all that is left is for you to sign the T&Cs and send your booking fee. I'll then be back in touch approximately 6 weeks before you wedding to confirm all the details and send your final invoice.
What is the most interesting thing you have put in a bouquet?
Cabbages! Well, ornamental cabbages. The bride wanted didn't want typical 'pretty' flowers, so instead we opted for pussy willow, moss, salix and thistles to create a quirky bouquet!
What is the most romantic flower and why?
It has to be the Rose, the classic symbol of love. They come in all shapes, sizes and colours, so even if you think you don't want a classic rose, there are so many varieties you'll have no problem finding one to fit in with your style.
What should you do with the flowers after the wedding?
I would always recommend hanging your bouquet up to dry before you go away on honeymoon if you think you'd like to do something with it. Hanging it upside down in a warm place allows it to dry out and still keep it's shape. From there you can arrange in a frame, set in resin or just have in your home as a dried bouquet!
