Follow your dreams and enjoy every bit of the planning! Don't get stressed, there's lots of help at hand.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
A colour or a flowers that has a very personal meaning, could be a memory of a special moment with your loved one, such as visiting a garden or a city abroad, or the season when you met...
Describe your typical process with a couple.
My approach is a personal one with a free initial consultation with no obligation. My role is to provide as much guidance on the choice of flowers and designs or as little as is required by the bride and groom for their flowers. Overall my role is to achieve what the couple is dreaming of for their flowers and to ensure that these are stunning and make a lasting impression. After the initial consultation if the couple decide they would like me to create their wedding floral designs, I will personally spend time to create their own individual mood board to complement the theme of your wedding. I will be happy to suggest vases, vessels and table decorations and to visit the venue with the couple so that we can together visualise how the flowers will look and how they will make a lasting impression.
What is the most interesting thing you have put in a bouquet?
I like to use velvet and hand-tied silk ribbons and sometimes I attach a small charm or piece of jewelery that has a special meaning to the bride.
Is there a flower that has specific symbolism that you would recommend for couples?
The rose, a scented one! The rose symbolises love and passion, so very befitting for a wedding.
What is the most romantic flower and why?
A gorgeous garden rose for its evocative scent, its voluptuous beauty
What should you do with the flowers after the wedding?
Share them with those you love - give your floral arrangements for your family and guests to take away. I gave all of mine away (apart from my wedding bouquet and my daughter's floral crown) as presents to my family and friends and they were very touched.
