What is your most memorable wedding?
Our rustic style wedding in 2018 where we provided a gorgeous rustle style bouquet which included a mix of foliage including eucalyptus and thlaspi bell etc, roses, spray roses anemone, thistles and wax flower. We provided everything for this gorgeous wedding including top table arrangement, rustic style jars for centrepieces, bridesmaids bouquets, wedding party buttonholes and corsages. We are still asked to recreate this bouquet for new brides and still receive lots of compliments on this wedding.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Bright, beautiful, fun, creative, personal
What about your business are you most proud of?
We have gone from strength to strength and steadily gaining more and more wedding couples each year. We have had lots of recommendations and proud that we have been able to create wedding florals for lots of different family members and friends due to recommendations and new couples seeing how beautiful our work is on the day.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Research lots of wedding inspiration posts/photos etc so as you can build a good idea of what your preferred style is for your big day!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
A little note from suppliers congratulating couples on their big day and wishing them luck.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Once a wedding couple have contacted us and confirmed their wedding date and venue we then ask them to send us photos of their preferred styles/colour tones etc to gain a good idea of what they are looking for with their wedding florals. We then estimate a price with them and when they are happy with this we then take a £50 non refundable booking fee which secures their wedding date. We then email our contract and terms and conditions. We will arrange a consultation nearer to the wedding date with our couples to finalise styles/flowers/colours and confirm the price at this stage. The balance is then due 4 weeks before their wedding day. We will then keep in touch to ensure everything is ok on the lead up to the day and have everything delivered on the morning of the wedding day.
What is the most interesting thing you have put in a bouquet?
We have used acorns on a winter bouquet which looked beautiful in the winter setting. We have also used Batman and Robin Lego figures for a Lego Batman fanatic which brought a huge talking point.
Is there a flower that has specific symbolism that you would recommend for couples?
Lots of our couples ask to tie Scotland in with their big day we always suggest using thistles in buttonholes for the bridal party and depending upon the style of bouquet, we often use thistles in these too.
What is the most romantic flower and why?
I believe a rose as you can see so many different tones, shapes and textures from the one rose itself. There are so many different styles/colours/shapes of roses you can choose from and they really are the most beautiful and versatile flower.
What should you do with the flowers after the wedding?
We suggest placing them in vases/fishbowls with water to keep them fresh and double up as extra decoration during speeches and wedding decorations. They can also be given to family members/friends as gifts or be dried out to be kept as a memory of your big day or be preserved. It’s all down to our wedding couple’s preference!
