Fig & Bramble Full Description
At Fig & Bramble, we believe in personal yet sustainable weddings. We use British grown flowers and have our own cut flower patch where we can grow specific flowers for our couples. Low impact, highly personal, environmentally friendly wedding flowers. Good for the Planet, perfet for you. From DIY flowers to bespoke large scale installations. We don't have a minimum spend as we want sustainable flowers to be available to all environmentally concious couples. Our style is inspired by nature, it's wild, loose and we love the 'plucked from the garden' look and feel. My cut flower patch is located in the North of the New Forest and is pesticide free to encourage pollinators and support the local environment. We grow with the seasons to ensure you get the best blooms possible. Homegrown blooms are available April- October and if your wedding is at least 12 months away, it would be an honor to grow specially requested flowers just for you so do get in touch.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is your most memorable wedding?

A tiny intimate wedding during Covid-19. It was so special to still be able to celebrate during such a weird time and the couple still wanted beautiful flowers despite the downsize. Flowers really help create a beautiful flowers and photos to look back on.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

natural, sustainable, loose, wild, colourful

What about your business are you most proud of?

Our low environmental footprint, we avoid floral foam and single use plastic. Use home grown or locally grown flower as much as possible and our cut flower patch is pesticide free.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Narrow down your priorities and decide where you want to spend your budget. Don't be shy to share your budget with suppliers as this helps us to advise on how best to spend it.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

Personal vows engraved into a mirror.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

Normally a meet up over coffee or at the venue (pre covid times), now more likely a zoom call to find out more about each other. A high level proposal is presented with ideas and starting costs before a full quote is provided upon a booking fee. We can set up a Pinterest & WhatsApp group to keep in touch, or I'm always at the end of the phone. If time allow, I invite couples to my cut flower patch so they can see the flowers growing for themselves, this also helps decide what you might like. I personally delivery your bouquets & buttonholes, I can also be available to help with take down the following day.

What is the most interesting thing you have put in a bouquet?

I've got had any unusual request yet so feel free to surpirse me :)

Is there a flower that has specific symbolism that you would recommend for couples?

I love to work with the seasons so it changes all the time, however I do like to include herbs where possible as these bring extra scent. Rosemary symbolises remembrance which may be appropriate or lavender has a calming effect for those big day nerves.

What is the most romantic flower and why?

I think flowers can be so personal and each bridal bouquet I make is bespoke so depents what's important to my couples.

What should you do with the flowers after the wedding?

Make sure you get some good photos! Speak to your photographer so you can look back, whatever you decide to do with them, they'll never look as perfect as they hopefully do on the day. A service I'm exploring is to preserve flowers in resin, however flower must be dried for this to work but small resin frames or paperweights can make really personal keepsakes.
