What is your most memorable wedding?
My most memorable wedding would have to be my own wedding. This is obviously special to me, but planning my own wedding was when my love for floristry and weddings developed. I made all the floral arrangements for my wedding (not something i would recommend if you want a chilled day before), but after this i knew wedding floristry was something I wanted to pursue. I love everything about weddings and can not wait to hear about yours.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Wild, imaginative, luxurious, personal, textured
What about your business are you most proud of?
I would have to say, the personal attention to detail, so that the arrangements really represent you and your vision.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Write down your top 3 priorities for your wedding and keep referring back to this through out the planning process. Pinterest and Instagram are amazing visual aids for planning but they can be super distracting. Sorry here is another from personal experience book important suppliers that you get on with. You will be surprised how much contact you will have with them, i found it made a difference to the planning process but also on the day.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
One of my beautiful brides would like there to be one white rose that is just loosely tied in to her bouquet so that she can place it on a special chair in memory of her dad. That way he is still walking down the aisle with her. I just think this is one of the most beautiful, touching things i have ever heard.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Typically a couple will contact me via instagram, facebook or email (email is the best for me if possible). Following this i send them a pre-consultation questionnaire to gather information about them, their wedding and their ideas. We then meet for a consultation to discuss ideas in detail, ideally face to face but this can be done over the phone. Following this I then pull all the ideas in to a proposal which also contains the quote. If you are over the moon with the proposal then we organise your paper work. At this stage we are more than happy to amend items, but i often find that most couples are really happy with the ideas. We then typically catch up about 8 weeks before your wedding and have a final phone call 2 weeks before. We also include a venue visit with you for those who require one. This is often a good way to help develop ideas, and help you visulise your day.
What is the most interesting thing you have put in a bouquet?
Autumn tree cuttings, with beautiful amber coloured leaves.
