What is your most memorable wedding?
Oh there are so many! They are all different and each one is created especially for each couple.
I did love the fact that we needed a quad bike (with trailer) to transport all the flowers to the ceremony location in the middle of a field for Megan and Charlie's wedding at South Lodge!

What flowers do you need for my wedding?
Depending on the size/budget of your wedding, you will typically need flowers for the wedding party, ceremony and reception.
The wedding party
You will need: bridal bouquet, bridesmaid bouquets, flower girl posie/flower crowns etc, mothers of the bride and groom corsages, groom’s buttonhole, groomsmen buttonholes, buttonholes for the dads. (But when it comes to buttonholes and corsages, it’s up to you who you would like to have one.)
Ceremony and reception
Again this is dependent on your budget but here are few things to consider:
- Entrance, aisle and altar flowers – think meadow boxes, pew end posies, urns, milk churns, pillars, arches etc
- Reception flowers – think bowl arrangements, flower garlands, vases, bud vases, meadow tables, as well as hanging installations, flower clouds, plank designs, arches, pillar flowers, bar flowers and more
If your ceremony and reception are at the same place, you may be able to move and reuse arrangements throughout the day.
What is my No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Book your favourite suppliers when you have a date for your wedding - they get booked up fast! And dream big - it's always worth telling your supplier what you would love even if you think you can't afford it... Suppliers are great at coming up with alternative ideas!
How much should you budget for?
Every wedding is different, but as a rough guide I'd suggest allowing around 10–15% of your overall wedding budget for flowers. The final cost will depend on your venue, the season, the number of arrangements and the level of floral detail you're looking for.

As a starting point, I would head to Pinterest and type in what you’re looking for. You can create a wedding board that collects all your ideas in one place!

Do I have a design process?
Yes! Every wedding is completely different and designed to suit each couple’s requirements. Whether you have a clear vision or not for your wedding, I will spend time with you discussing ideas and bringing them to life through a moodboard and proposal.
How much do I need to know about your wedding?
It’s super helpful if you can tell me as much as possible. From the basics like the wedding date and venue to the wedding theme/dream and bridesmaid dress colours etc, it really helps me visualise your wedding from a flower perspective.
When you get in touch, I will usually send you my enquiry form, which you then fill in and send back.
5 things I love about being a wedding florist!
In no particular order:
- I love creating amazing, wow factor installations like broken and full arches.
- I love a meadow aisle - they can be so impactful and look amazing in pictures. They are also really versatile and can be used in other parts of your venue.
- I love flower crowns - though always pray it's not too hot on the day, so they last longer!
- I love creating proposals and coming up with really cool flower recipes.
- I love seeing how happy my couples are when they see their flowers!
What should you do with the flowers after the wedding?
You can take them home or offer them to guests.
The day after your wedding, I will come and deconstruct any installations and bundle all good flowers into bunches for you to take or give to friends and family.
For any unwanted flowers, I bring them back here to my studio, where I may offer them to neighbours/nursing homes etc or they go on the compost. (I use all the compost that we make in my cutting garden!)
