The Soul Miners

The Soul Miners are a 100% live, high-energy, 8-piece band, and we specialise in performing Motown & classic soul music. We are based in Cardiff, South Wales and are available to perform throughout the UK. Our repertoire consists of music from legendary soul artists such as Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Stevie Wonder, and Ray Charles. Many of the songs from the films ‘The Blues Brothers’ and ‘The Commitments’ are featured in our sets, as we know how much our audiences love to dance and sing along to them! We provide entertainment at weddings, parties, functions, charity fundraising events, and festivals. Our musicians and vocalists are highly-experienced professionals who share a love of soul music, and we believe our enjoyment and enthusiasm for performing together shows in our performances. We like to have FUN! We do not provide a DJ service as such, but would play background music which is in keeping with your event. If you would prefer us to play your own music we are very happy to do so. Many of our clients provide their own playlists on an iPod, laptop etc, which we connect to our mixing desk. We run the equipment, so all you need do is relax and enjoy the music! We use top quality instrumentation, amplification, and lighting equipment, to ensure we always deliver a great show.
