“There is nothing more I love than to entertain people at weddings with the rare art form of silhouette cutting. Each silhouette is beautifully executed in minutes using nothing more than specialised scissors & black paper. They are created in the moment using scissors and black paper to intricately cut a flattering likeness of the profile of a guest without the aide of drawing. Originating from 18th Century France, silhouettes are flattering likenesses of people’s profiles in miniature which is why they make such memorable favours at weddings and engage guests at corporate and private parties. There are only a few UK silhouettists today. Sarah Head lives in Berkshire with her husband and two children. She has an extensive background in all types of art. She obtained a Ba Hons in Illustration in Kent. She has been wowing people with her skill of silhouettes since 1999 at a wide range of functions up and down the country and internationally including; King Charles’ Christmas party at St James Palace, Princess Beatrice’s 18th at Windsor Castle, Dawn French’s Birthday in Cornwall to international events in; India, Lebanon and the Seychelles.
