Full Description
A wedding is perhaps one of the biggest days in a couples lives. I understand just how much time, planning and money goes into making the day as perfect as it should be. I am fortunate to attend weddings nearly every weekend and can say that I know a thing or two about them. There are a few times during the wedding day when traditionally there will be a lull. After the wedding ceremony, they bride and groom will be spending quality time with their photographer. There is no better time than this for me to perform my close - up magic to all of the guests. It serves as a seamless transition into the wedding breakfast. You will no longer hear people asking, "What do we do now?" or "When do we eat?" My magic serves as the perfect ice - breaker. It is a conversation stopper and a conversation starter. I am sure you want your wedding day to be remembered for the fantastic time that all of the guests had - right? I can help here. I mix and mingle among all of the guests, young and old and wow them with cards, coins, sponge balls and even some mind reading! My magic is light-hearted and everyone can get involved. If you are still undecided about entertainment at your wedding then it is certainly worth considering hiring me to attend your wedding. Before the big day we can meet and have a chat about how the magic will have a huger positive benefit on the day. We can also chat about a few specifics to ensure that everything runs absolutely perfectly.

Perfect Addition To Our Day
Paul was absolutely fantastic, and the perfect addition to make our day extra special! His magic definitely made a talking point with our guests, and he was very polite and co-operative with timings. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for something out of the tired, sweet cart, photo booth combo. 5*

What is your most memorable wedding?

My most memorable wedding would probably be my first ever wedding, some 19 years ago. I can look back at how far I have come and appreciate that my magic has evolved.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

fast-paced, witty, confident, entertaining, bewildering

What about your business are you most proud of?

I am most proud of the fact that I took a leap of faith to start my business. Graduating university with a Degree in French and English, I realised my passion was for magic and so I pursued it

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Don't leave the entertainment until the last minute. It is one of the most memorable parts of the wedding and entertainers have packed diaries. Book early to avoid disappointment.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

For me personal touches involve family and friends. We often hear words spoken of 'those who sadly cannot be with us today'. This sentiment was extra emphatic at a wedding I attended, where the groom had prepared several photos of the brides grandparents who had sadly passed away. It was a very humbling touch.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

I would have a conversation over the phone with the bride or groom to be. During the call I will be finding out specifics, date, timing etc. We then talk about specifics of the day and what the best options are for the wedding magic. I listen to any requests and will accommodate as best I can. When the couple go ahead with the booking, I take a small deposit. I will speak to the couple leading up to the wedding to make any final arrangements, regarding time and final payments.

What is your No. 1 top tip for keeping a crowd entertained?

The important thing about my magic is that it can be performed 1 to 1 or to a group of 10 or more people. My experience has helped me deal with crowds of all sizes. I don't have a tip per se. It is just a matter of me being myself. I am confident at speaking in a group and am certainly confident in my abilities as a magician. I am funny and engaging and can hold any crowds attention by being myself.

Where is the most memorable place you have performed?

I have performed in hundreds of beautiful venues across the UK, but I recall at a wedding I was asked to perform some magic outside. It was a beautiful day so I obliged. On the grounds I couldn't see any guests until a lady came out of a VW Camper van. She wanted me to join her and her friends inside the van. It was a little bizarre but fun all the same. I was wedged in at a table performing magic among 5 or 6 women!

Have you had any interesting surprises at a wedding?

Magic is unpredictable! On the day, no matter how much planning has gone into the magic/routines I can't always prepare for the guests I meet. I was surprised when the best man was ending his speech. Over the year leading up to the wedding we had met on several occasions and had become good friends. On the wedding day he finished by saying that I will now be delivering a speech! Rabbit caught in the headlights!!!!!! I hadn't prepared for this. Fortunately I disappeared in a cloud of smoke.....I was able to speak sincerely about the bride and groom but it wasn't easy as he caught me by surprise.

What is your party trick?

Everything I do is a party trick. I do leave a lasting impression on everyone that I perform for and leave the bride and groom with a memento of their day.
