The Bridal Affair is a private bridal and occasionwear boutique in the beautiful market town of Easingwold, near York. We offer a relaxed, personal and supportive appointment experience for brides and customers looking for designer wedding dresses, Curvy Bridal, Off-the-Peg gowns, accessories, shoes and occasionwear.
Our boutique is known for its warm welcome, private appointments and honest styling advice. During your bridal appointment, you will have time and space to explore our collection with expert guidance, helping you find the dress that feels right for you, your wedding and your personal style.
Our bridal sample collection ranges from approximately bridal size 6–28. Curvy Bridal at The Bridal Affair is our dedicated plus-size bridal collection, with samples from bridal size 16 upwards. We have offered specialist Curvy Bridal support since 2010, helping curvier brides feel confident, comfortable and beautifully themselves.
For brides with shorter timescales, we also offer over 50 Off-the-Peg wedding dresses. These ready-to-take-home gowns can be ideal for destination weddings, elopements, intimate ceremonies or brides who fall in love with a dress already available in store.
Alongside bridal, we offer occasionwear for Mother of the Bride, Mother of the Groom, wedding guests, race days, cruises and special occasions. Our occasionwear appointments are calm and personal, with styling support to help you find an outfit that feels elegant, comfortable and right for your event.
The Bridal Affair is also home to beautiful veils, shoes, jewellery, hair accessories and finishing touches to complete your bridal or occasionwear look.
We are based at Holly House, Chapel Street, Easingwold, York YO61 3AE, with free parking nearby and a relaxed market town setting. Many brides and customers travel to us from York, Harrogate, Thirsk, Northallerton, across Yorkshire and the North East. Appointments are required so we can offer every visitor a private, personal and welcoming boutique experience.

Do I need an appointment to visit The Bridal Affair?
Yes, appointments are required. We work by appointment only so every bride and customer receives a private, relaxed and personal boutique experience.
How long does a bridal appointment take?
A new bridal appointment usually lasts around 90 minutes, giving you time to talk through your wedding plans, explore the collection and try a carefully selected range of gowns.
What sizes do you stock?
Our bridal sample collection ranges from approximately bridal size 6–28. Curvy Bridal at The Bridal Affair begins from around bridal size 16 upwards. Some designers may offer smaller or larger sizes to order, but not every dress is available in every size.
Do you offer plus-size wedding dresses?
Yes. Curvy Bridal at The Bridal Affair is our dedicated plus-size bridal collection, with sample gowns from bridal size 16 upwards. We have proudly offered specialist Curvy Bridal support since 2010.
Do you offer Off-the-Peg wedding dresses?
Yes, we offer over 50 Off-the-Peg wedding dresses, ideal for brides with shorter timescales, destination weddings, elopements or anyone looking for a ready-to-take-home gown.
When should I start shopping for my wedding dress?
We recommend starting around 9–12 months before your wedding day where possible. This allows time for ordering, delivery, fittings and alterations. If your wedding is sooner, our Off-the-Peg collection may be a perfect option.
Can I bring guests to my appointment?
Yes, you are welcome to bring up to 4 guests with you. We recommend choosing people whose opinions you trust and who will help you feel supported, confident and relaxed.
Do you sell veils, shoes and bridal accessories?
Yes, we stock a beautiful selection of veils, bridal shoes, jewellery, hair accessories and finishing touches to help complete your wedding day look.
Do you offer occasionwear?
Yes, we offer occasionwear for Mother of the Bride, Mother of the Groom, wedding guests, race days, cruises and special occasions. Occasionwear appointments include personal styling support in our Easingwold boutique.
