FAQs

Describe your typical process with a couple.

Typically a bride will make an appointment between six and twenty four months before the wedding. She would then pop in to the studio, often with Mum and or friends, for a free design consultation and informal chat. At this stage various design sketches will be made. Fabric sample books are browsed and a choice narrowed down from the hundreds available. A broad costing is made ahead of final design and fabric choices. There is no obligation for this service. The bride would then take as long as necessary to make her final choices and then an accurate costing can be made. Only when the bride is happy with her design will a deposit be paid and fabrics ordered. The next stage is to fit a toile of the dress in calico so that all the details of fit can be perfected before cutting in the actual dress fabric. The process then continues with as many fittings as necessary to achieve the perfection of fit which is the hallmark of a couture gown. Not until the bride is completely satisfied with the finest detail of her dress does take delivery of her bespoke gown.

What is the best way to incorporate "Something Blue" into the wedding outfit?

We always incorporate a tiny blue secret bow inside the dress.
