Kate Fearnley has been well established as an occasion wear designer since 2002, and has since seen her quirky, colourful and sophisticated creations adorn celebrities on the red carpet; ladies at the races; prom girls; and wedding guests. Kate’s unique designs won her the coveted ‘Fashion Entrepreneur of the Year’ award from Cosmopolitan Magazine in 2010.
Kate takes her inspiration from the Hollywood icons of the 1950s, and enjoys nothing more than making the normal lady look and feel absolutely fabulous and flatterering.
In 2011 Kate launched her first ever Bridesmaid dress collection, which was well received by the bridal press, and seen as a refreshing twist on the traditional, harnessing her fifties inspired silhouettes, alongside her love of texture and unusual fabrics.
Since then the bridal side of the business has gone from strength to strength, and Kate has designed creative bespoke bridesmaid dresses, bridal gowns, and mother of the bride ouftits for numerous clients, resulting in the 2013 separation of the Bridal side of the business.
All the Bridal designs are bespoke to each individual Bride, everything is designed from scratch on the premises and made to fit each individual. Everything is hand stitched and embroidered to create a unique dress.
Her bridesmaid dresses are created using the finest classique duchess satin with tulle underskirts. Textured lace fabrics are also available, and the dresses can be made in a variety of lengths to suit individual clients. Kate’s unique bridal gowns favour vintage-inspired tulle laces.
Kate can also hand craft accessories for the groom’s party, including ties, fabric boutonnieres, cummerbunds and pocket handkerchiefs. This attention to detail ensures that the entire bridal party is styled to perfection. Finally, the whole effect can be completed with handmade fabric bouquets for the bride and bridesmaids.
