I have been designing and hand sewing wedding dresses, evening dresses and ladies luxury day wear for over 30 years. I have a collection of sample styles of wedding gowns and evening dresses, long and short dresses, bridal wear, evening gowns and cocktail dresses which you can look at during a consultation. While visiting you can also look through my portfolios of photos and sketches of some of my dress designs as well as a good selection of the silk, cotton, wool, linen, French and English laces and other fine fabrics, including organic cotton satins and laces and fabrics that include some recycled fibres, which I order to make the dresses from. I specialise in unique embroidery and beadwork designs. I have some of those designs you can look at. Most of my dress designs are made to order but I also usually have a few sample and one off dresses for sale as well as some bridal and evening accessories and hand painted silk scarves. I make all the patterns for the dresses so that they are unique and so that they fit you. Dresses can need anything from 2 to 10 fittings depending on the complexity of the design. For intricate designs I can also make a toile, which is a mock up made out of cheap fabric to test the design and the fit before cutting out expensive fabric. Starting prices do not include materials as these costs can vary a lot but as a rough guide, with the cost of fabrics on top of these figures, flower girls from £250, lined short sleeveless shift dresses from around £700, suits and simple long bridesmaid dresses from £900, simple tea length dresses from £1,000 straight dresses without a small train from £1,500, full skirted gowns from £2,000, full skirted gowns with a train from £2,500. I work from home so all consultations are by appointment only. During your appointment you can choose a design in my collection which can be refined with a choice of fabrics, and styling. or I can design and sketch you a unique dress or gown.
