Styled by Lulabelles are an AWARD WINNING Venue Stylist situated on the Suffolk/Cambridgeshire boarder. Providing styling across the whole of East Anglia and more! An ever growing team - with a girl gang so tight we make the spice girls jealous. Together we are incredibly proud to have earned a great reputation. You've only got to look at our galleries and love notes on our website for proof! At Styled by Lulabelles we pride ourselves on being able to make luxe more affordable and available for every couple. I mean, who wouldn’t want their wedding to look like the cover of an OK! magazine shoot? Offering things you only see on pinterest brought into real life at reasonable prices. What is your most memorable wedding?

It would have to be an intimate wedding of 15 we did back during COVID restrictions. In Styled By Lulabelles fashion, we went for something completely opposite to the big white wedding which was saved for the following year, and created a chic and glitz black wedding. Lots of candle light, black sequin cloths with crystal candelabras. The aisle was lined with 250 glass vases with a mix of church and floating candles all at different heights. Gold touches in the place setting and signage with Christmas trees decked in gold. An abundance of foliage on mantle piece, registrar table and staircase to bring in the Christmas trees. With vampy reds and burgundys in the bridal bouquet.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Create a guestlist before securing your venue. Highlight people you absolutely need to have there, people that would lovely to have there if possible and a third colour for guests you feel you should invite / distance relatives. This will help you figure out how many people you roughly you need your venue to cater for, and how many you may invite to the evening. Once you have a rough number of people, you can then work out how many tables that equates to, and this will help your styling so much more!

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

All of them!!! Anything personal to the couple is a win!! Putting your personality into the wedding, with little touches mean so much and can go so far. It can set your wedding apart from another by miles for your guests. Which is so important when you guests can attend 5/6 weddings a year. Your fun quirks can make the day so much more memorable.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

Our typical process, would be firstly to check we can cater for your date & venue. We can sometimes squeeze in another wedding, if the venue is local to others we have that weekend. Once we have sussed out we can do your date and venue, we will get you down to the showroom for a consultation. We often have a wait time of a few months at a time for the consultations - so you will be given the opportunity to pay a £50 save the date deposit to ensure your secured in the diary until consultation. Once we have had a consultation, you will receive your quotation the same day, via an online portal. Here you can check all your documents, incl contract and invoice too. Once confirmed all is good (changes can be made at any time) then you will be asked to make a further deposit to secure your date fully. Once this is done, your in the diary and secured!!! You are welcomed back to the showroom at any time, emails, calls etc to discuss any changes you may want to make, if you see new things or if your numbers change etc.. Then we will catch up 1 - 2 months before your wedding day to make sure everything is still ok, before you make your final balance. We will then liaise with your venue with regards to timings of your day, getting into the venue, getting back out etc So there is ZERO stress on you!!

What is the best themed wedding you have worked at?

At Styled By Lulabelles, we don't work to a theme. Instead a style. We believe a wedding should be timeless and classic, we prefer to use colours in the smaller details. Keeping the creative wild and fun, but always elegant with a touch of luxe like no other.

What are the decorative trends with brides currently?

A big trend we are seeing is dried flowers, an abundance of gold. Switching up the cutlery - and really giving the tablescape a lot more attention than in previous years.

What is your signature finishing touch?

It would have to be our personalised acrylic placenames which come in various finishes, and shapes. Completely personalised to you and your guests - small enough to fit in bags for your guests to take away, and they can easily double up as favours!

What decoration do you think every wedding needs?

Texture! Whether that is a different napkin, table linen, chair drapes. Adding textures to your day, will create a depth to your tablescapes, without going crazy on colour and going OTT!
