Platter and Slate Full Description

On your big day you want everything to be perfect. At Platter & Slate, we understand that the food plays an enormous part in making your wedding day special, and that you will want to know you have entrusted the wedding catering into good hands. Platter and Slate is not a bulk caterer churning out standard offerings and relying on junior staff to oversee events. Our head chef Deanna Smith manages all our weddings personally. She will design a bespoke menu for your wedding, which is ideally suited to your vision for the day. You will receive personalised service from her, starting with menu discussions, through to a tasting of the proposed wedding menu. On the day she will be on hand to deal with any concerns and to ensure that the food and service are impeccable.

Deanna was an absolute dream to work with

Deanna was an absolute dream to work with and curated our perfect wedding sharing menu but furthermore was a massive help with all logistics, timings, equipment hire, staff hire etc. We absolutely couldn't have planned it without her and are SO pleased we found her. The food was totally a highlight of the day and we've not stopped hearing rave reviews from our guests. Looking for another excuse to hire Platter and Slate asap!

Deanna and co caterered for our wedding reception at clissold house on 15th July 2017. We were absolutely blown away by the service. Deanna did the catering for our wedding reception. She served canapes that were beautiful, delicious and original - not the usual tired, boring ones that most caterers provide. We feel very lucky to have found and secured Platter and Slate to caterer our wedding. Deanna was brilliant to work with. It felt like we bonded very quickly and refined the menu together. Deanna is very passionate, her ideas are creative, the food very tasty, and refined. We had a drinks and canapé reception at Clissold House before our 3 course sharing meal at the West Reservoir Centre up the road for 90. So all in all quite a logistical number for Deanna to manage with her team.

Deanna did the catering for our wedding reception in North London on 3 September. She served canapes that not only looked beautiful but were delicious and original - not the usual boring, tired old store-bought vol au vents etc that most other caterers provide. The food for the main course was also creative, very well presented, varied,unique and really wonderful!Deanna also advised us on the ideal wines and was thoroughly professional from start to finish.All of our guests raved about the food

We are normally busy in the kitchen but there are lots of lovely memories from all of our couples

Talk and talk more find out what they like to eat how they see the day going. Build a menu, meet up, talk more, view the venue, meet the front of house manager. Discuss staffing, draw up a detailed time plan. Prep and cook!
