Full Description
We have fast gained a reputation for our "family style" sharing dinners. These consist of a main feature such as slow cooked legs of lamb or beef wellington's being carved at the table (often by the guests themselves) with sides and salads all to be passed around, followed by mini desserts and cheeseboards to share which can be presented in fun and fabulous ways. This all helps to create that warm , causal, family feel that so many people like these days for their wedding, and certainly ensures your table engages. Of course, we also offer traditional three course dinners or for those looking not to seat their guests, canapés, bowl food, street, food stalls. The options are endless... I find that a bit of creativity and some different thinking can stretch even the smallest of budgets to make a most memorable of days.

What is your most memorable wedding?

A beautiful jewish blessed civil ceremony held in a warehouse space. We were scrubbing the windows 1 hour before the guests arrived and the ovens had not yet been delivered. But by the time the guests came it was so magical and the latin band started playing, the food and drink were flowing and it for some reason remains one of my favourites.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Fun, bright, sumptuous, fresh and simple

What about your business are you most proud of?

That most of our clients become repeat clients (especially the corporates). Or are guests are previous weddings or events.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Start by choosing 2 things each that you "have to have" to make your day special and build everything else around those.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

A little side room with two dressing tables with fully stocked make up and hair styling equipment for the bridal party and guests to retreat to for top ups.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

Initial phone call followed by sample quotations and some ideas. This then leads to more firm menu ideas. Then a tasting where we can also look at drink and equipment if you are wanting us to organise that for you. And then it's a go with multiple mails and meetings until it is exactly as you wish . You will be introduced to your manager prior to the event, normally at the site meeting and will deal with myself and him or her the whole way though the process.

How would you wow the judges on Masterchef?

Just cooking my food. Possibly the veal, with wild mushrooms in parma ham truffle sauce and white onion puree, which is one of my favourites.

What is the most innovative dish you have created for a wedding?

Probably the dessert gardens. Everything was edible from the soil to the bark on the mini trees, meringue daisies, the sprouting carrot top cakes. It was stunning and delicious. A real memory maker .

What is the food of love?

For me ... chocolate

What is your secret ingredient?

Sugar, salt and butter.... to be honest.
