The Golden Hour brings frozen cocktails, garden games and mini golf to weddings and events across Hampshire.
Run by husband-and-wife team Jazz and James, The Golden Hour is built around the part of a wedding day everyone remembers fondly - the slow, golden stretch between ceremony and evening do, when guests are relaxed, drinks are flowing and there's finally time to breathe.
At the heart of it is a vintage horsebox bar, restored and opened out to pour frozen cocktails all day, with beer, wine and soft drinks on hand too. For venues that can't take the horsebox - an upstairs room, a courtyard, a marquee - a compact indoor bar does the same job.
What we offer:
- The horsebox bar - frozen cocktails on tap, with dry bar, per-head, or open bar options depending on how you'd like drinks to run
- The indoor bar - a compact setup for venues without outdoor space, two frozen flavours and everything included
- Garden games - Jenga, cornhole, giant Connect 4, ring toss, noughts and crosses, limbo and skittles, delivered and set out
- Mini golf - a nine-hole pop-up putting course across the grounds
Most couples end up booking a combination of all three, and we're always happy to put together a custom package if you're combining services.
Jazz and James bring backgrounds in the Army and Emergency care to how they work - calm, organised, and completely unfazed by whatever a wedding day throws at them. Every booking is handled personally, from first enquiry through to pack-down, so you're always dealing with the people who'll actually turn up on the day. Their two golden retrievers, Cleo and Nala, keep a watchful eye over proceedings from home.
Based in Southampton, The Golden Hour travels up to 70 miles for weddings and events across Hampshire, the New Forest, Dorset, Wiltshire, Surrey, Sussex and Berkshire. Not sure if we reach you? Just ask.

How do i book and how does pricing work?
Send an enquiry with your date, venue and what you'd like. We'll confirm if we're free and send a quote.
Every quote is built around your day. Starting prices for the bar, games and mini golf are on our website, and we send a full quote once we know your date, guest count and venue.
Do you take a deposit?
Yes, a 20% deposit secures your date. The balance is due before the day.
What do you serve?
Frozen cocktails are the draw, alongside beer, wine and soft drinks so every guest is covered. Alcohol-free versions of the frozen cocktails are always on hand.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes, we're fully licensed and insured, and we can send the paperwork your venue needs.
What if our venue can't take the horsebox?
We bring a compact indoor bar instead. It pours the frozen cocktails and fits an upstairs room, a courtyard or a marquee.
How much space does the horsebox need?
Our horsebox is 14'1" long and 6'11" wide, so we recommend a clear, level space of at least 20' by 12' for setup and serving access.
What happens if it rains?
We plan for British weather. The bar works under cover or fully indoors, and we'll agree a wet-weather plan beforehand so nothing is left to chance.
Where do you cover?
Hampshire and the New Forest, and just over the border into Dorset, Wiltshire, Surrey, Berkshire and West Sussex. Roughly an hour from Southampton, and further for the right day.
How long are you there for?
Five hours of service as standard, with extra hours arranged around your day. We arrive early to set up and stay to pack everything down, so you don't lift a finger.
What's it like working with you on the day?
Down-to-earth and easy to deal with. We handle every booking ourselves, so there's no middleman - just us, genuinely enjoying what we do. You relax, we'll take care of the rest.
