Berry Blue

Wow! Where do I even begin. We had a caterer booked through one of our venues mandatory suppliers. Unfortunately the caterer was we had booked went into liquidation 3 months prior to our June 2024 wedding and all other mandatory caterers were fully booked. I therefore found Berry Blue after some research online and how delighted I am that we found them. Straight from the offset Berry Blue were extremely helpful, empathetic to our situation and very quick at replying. Then we went to do a tasting with Berry Blue at their premises in Stroud and we were absolutely blown away. We had 4 different canapés, 2x starters, 2x mains and 4x desserts and each dish was absolutely exceptional. I couldn’t find a single fault with anything we tried. We tried some dishes we may not have even considered for our day and were blown away and they made it onto our final menu! After such high quality food we booked Berry Blue and eagerly anticipated eating their food again on our wedding day. Throughout the next 3 months Berry Blue’s communication was excellent, always quick to reply on email or available for telephone calls. They also made themselves available to personally attend our venue for our final meeting despite the date of this being brought forward last minute. Onto the wedding day. The food was as exquisite as the tasting. For canapés we had lamb kofta, fish & chip cones and courgette pakora. All which tasted fantastic. They even brought a small plate of canapés designated just for the bride and groom which was a lovely touch. The sit down meal then went excellently. All courses came out in a timely manner and again were all delicious. We had for starters: goats cheese tart, arancini & fish cake. Mains: Beef wellington, chicken supreme & mushroom wellington. Desserts: Brownie or passionfruit tart. Everything was devine and special mention for the beef which was cooked to perfection. We had so many comments from guests such as “this is the best wedding food I’ve ever had”. Finally we had the hog roast in the evening which was delightful. We had the full pig on the spit which was know isn’t for everyone. But for us it looked amazing and was eye catching. The pork was so juicy and flavoursome, the bread rolls were large and soft, the cracking was insane and then were was also apple sauce, stuffing and coleslaw which was also great! There was so much food. We had guests go up for seconds and we have still taken home and frozen lots of tubs of pork! Katie, Louise and the team have been absolutely brilliant. Thank you so much! The food has been of the highest quality and I genuinely cannot pick a single fault with anything we had. I would highly recommend Berry Blue to anyone looking for a caterer! 5*!

I am just writing to say thank you for the catering at the wedding on Saturday at Deer Park. Your staff went about their roles with great efficiency and discretely, serving food and wine to our guests. We were looking forward to eating the food which we had tasted at our visit to Dursley over a year ago. Our expectations were not unfounded, and the food served was excellent. We have had some very positive comments about the food. So thank you for helping making our day a memorable one.

We just wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to you and your team for the absolutely breathtaking wedding weekend. The food for every one of our events: Friday’s BBQ, Saturday’s wedding and drinks reception was absolutely delicious! At every point our guests could not stop raving about how amazing the food tasted, the beautiful presentation and how well they were taking care of by the chefs and servers. The cake tasted wonderful and looked straight out of a magazine, it made such a great addition.

It was an amazing experience having Berry Blue cater for our wedding reception; from the preparation process to the actual day, it was a pleasure working with Katie, Louise and the whole team. The food itself was truly fantastic, presented in the most beautiful way, and served by an excellent team. Thank you for playing such a big part in making our day so magical.

Berryblue were absolutely brilliant at a wedding this weekend at Wellington Barn. It works really hard to ensure that all I guess we're catered for with meat and vegetarian and vegan lasagne avoiding all the dietary and allergy issues as well. Food is important both of us. We really enjoyed great food and with Barry Blue we got wonderful flavours in nicely presented dishes. Lucy are catering manager at helping us and ensuring we were happy at all stages. All guests loved the food.
