From the first phone call we knew we had to have Michael cater our wedding. His excitement and passion for food was obvious immediately and it made us super excited about the menu he could create for us. Our wedding was 21 people but our dietary requirements were many! It didn't phase Michael at all and he was very clear that everyone would get the same high standard food. He made individual menus for two of our guests to accommodate their needs and all three menus were of exceptional quality. The food was out of this world. The lamb and venison absolutely melted. We are still talking about the food now! If there are two things we could say about Michael it's that he is incredibly creative and everything he does is very personal. He created desserts that meant a lot to both of us based on our childhood memories and smashed it out of the park. We couldn't recommend him enough and can't wait for a reunion in the future! We hired Michael and his team to cater for our wedding recently in Oban. Their service and food was top class: from our first meeting with Michael to set up on the day, the quality of his food and the friendliness of his staff, we could not have asked for anything more. We ordered a 4 course meal for our 23 guests with a few different dietary requirements amongst them, Michael accommodated them with the canapés and the meal without any drop in the quality of his food.

Michael catered for our wedding and all our guests have told us how amazing the food was! He managed to pull off a small miracle as only the day before he was told that the oven/ hob was broken so how he managed to serve a three course meal with three different meal choices for people to choose from to 32 people I still to this day I don't know. But everything was perfect! the beef that we had melted in your mouth it was so good I'm still dreaming about it.

Mike was recommended to me by the owner of The Drury (an eleven-bedroom, seven-bathroom luxurious rental property above Oban) and from initial enquiry to final execution of my husband’s 60th birthday dinner, Mike’s professionalism and love for his craft was blatantly apparent. Mike uses only the highest-quality of locally-sourced ingredients and his dishes were without doubt some of the most flavoursome our party of 17 had ever tasted.

We used Argyll Exclusive for our wedding food over a weekend in April 2023. From the first moment we contacted Michael, we knew we had to use him. His communication has always been spot on, prompt and detailed. All his menus are delicious sounding, we had such a difficult job choosing what to eat! We ended up using Michael's services for the evening before, for a relaxed meal, the spiced butternut squash soup, fish pie and cranachan were particularly good.
