"I'm Liz and I home bake and hand decorate every one of Simply Scrumptious' delightful cakes and cupcakes from my kitchen in Eccleshall, Staffordshire.
Since 2010, I have been offering a bespoke service, baking delicious cakes to order. I can provide you with beautiful cupcake towers and naked wedding cakes in range of delicious flavours, decorated to suit your theme.
At Simply Scrumptious Cupcakes, I only ever use free-range eggs, and use organic, British and Fairtrade ingredients wherever possible. I make a mean vegan cake and can cater for gluten-free couples or guests too.
I offer a no-obligation consultation service, where you can discuss your cake and try some delicious samples, either at Simply Scrumptious HQ or in the comfort of your own home.
I also run a range of cupcake decorating and sugarpaste modelling classes throughout the year, and private classes which are perfect for hen parties."

What is your most memorable wedding?
I loved catering afternoon tea and a giant cupcake wedding tower in a beautiful teepee in the peak district. The bride and groom wanted quirky cakes and even requested Mummy Pig, Daddy Pig and Peppa Pig were placed on top of the cake at their daughter’s request!

What about your business are you most proud of?
I run the business single-handed and bake all the cakes from scratch. I am passionate about flavour, and make sure that every one of my cakes and cupcakes is absolutley delicious! I am commited to sustainability and am currently switching my ingredients to organic, my boxes to fully compostable, and use renewable energy suppliers.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Work out your priorities and keep things in perspective. Remember it’s your day- make sure you enjoy it!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I invite a couple to join me for a cake tasting and we discuss their cake needs and budget. I then will finalise a quotation and send it out. The date can be secured with a 50% deposit.
