ONE LARGE CAKE OR A SEA OF LITTLE CAKES?
It is increasingly popular to serve small delicate cakes, tarts, or other desserts along a main cake at weddings. This way you can have the ceremonial moment of cutting the cake, as well as a delicious spread to feast the eyes. Dessert Tables are practical too, it will make your guests the happiest requiring 'free-from' alternatives. We have sample menus available matching the season, get inspired, head to our Instagram and search the hashtag #shutishuti.
If you are choosing to have a dessert table, you can indeed reduce the portion size of the main cake. It is possible to make a real statement with a fewer portion cake too by adding double hight tiers for tallness and embellish the cake beautifully as we would larger ones.
THE CENTREPIECE
SHUTISHUTI SIGNATURE CAKES cakes can be used as a centrepiece cake, can be made multi-tiered or just have them as part of a dessert table. You can either choose from our “Signature Cakes Menu” or go the traditional way and mix and match your preferred sponge and buttercream flavours. Our menu changes with the seasons, more floral - fruity in the spring & summer and more muted in the autumn & winter.
DESSERT TABLE
Dessert tables are usually made of a variety of small cakes, tarts, mousse cakes, choux pastry, quite similar to what we usually sell on Saturdays. Menu will change with the season, and based on what seasonally available produce we have. (we don’t go shopping fro fruits further than Europe) Pre-tasting is not likely to be possible for all type of cakes with a lot of time in advance. We recommend to connect with us and try out some of patisserie we have available at the time of inquiry to get a better idea how tasty they really are! :)
