I've been making cakes for over 10 years, firstly as a hobby for family and friends, but this has now blossomed into a full-blown business, employing both my husband and sister! I have a fantastic studio which I share with some other amazing wedding businesses, and this is where I offer free, no-obligation consultations with my couples to create their perfect wedding cake surrounded by examples of other cakes and samples from the best in other North-East businesses. Everything is cooked in my own kitchen at home to ensure that each cake is given the attention that it deserves and comes with the home-made charm that you will not find elsewhere. In 2017 I was fortunate enough to be shortlisted as the 2018 Wedding Awards Regional Finalist for the North East & Yorkshire, the only supplier outside of Yorkshire to make it that far. On top of that, I won the Wedding Guide Award for Outstanding Customer Service in 2014 and was shortlisted for it in 2013, 2015 and 2016. These awards mean the world to me as they come from my Couples, and reflect my ethos - to provide the best service, give each couple exactly what they want, and to make everything individual to them. I am proud to have made it to the final auditions for the 2012 series of the BBC's "The Great British Bake Off" and be recommended supplier to most of the North East's best venues. Many of my couples are now personal friends, and come back for repeat orders whenever they can think of an excuse! I work hard to build these relationships to make sure I can provide you with the perfect order for your perfect day.
