Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life and just like you, I want it to be perfect. This is reflected in the high level of service I provide. I take on a limited number of orders to ensure that every one of my couples receives my full attention. My premium service and sugar craft skills are reflected in my prices. For 2024-25 I have a minimum spend of £500. Most of my couples spend £600 upwards. More information about starting prices is available on my website. Hello! I'm Charlotte and I'm so pleased your search for a cake maker has led you to me! I am a luxury wedding cake designer based in West London, and serving London, Surrey and surrounding areas. I have a passion for beautifully crafted, bespoke wedding cakes. I particularly love the art of handmade sugar flowers. The cutting of the wedding cake is a symbolic action. It signifies the first task that a newly married couple undertakes together and is therefore a very important part of the day. I feel so privileged to spend my days devoted to working with people at a time in their lives where love is at the forefront. Hearing your stories and being given the honour of representing them in sugar is the most magical way I can imagine to spend a working life! When I'm not baking you will find me enjoying a glass of wine or two with friends and family at one of our wonderful local pubs, or curled up in front of the telly watching reruns of Jonathan Creek. I love pasta, flying saucers (the sherbert sweet kind, not the UFO kind!) and marmite toast. I love crime novels and Christmas and thunder storms and I love getting to know my my wonderful couples. Added one of the best details to our special day!

Charlotte made our wedding cake, 2 tiers, one lemon and one coffee and walnut, both absolutely delicious (the lemon one didn't even survive the reception to be offered for takeaway 😂)... I had the idea I wanted photos of myself, my groom and our son in the cake, as well as incorporating the claret and light blue colours of our beloved Weymouth Football Club. Charlotte had the inspirational idea to have black and white photos, then add gorgeous claret and blue handmade flowers to the cake.

Charlotte made a last minute cake for our small wedding celebration. She was a real pleasure and very easy to work with, explained in detail how the cake will be made and sent us some design sketches to choose from. Cake was absolutely beautiful and delicious! Guests couldn't believe that the flowers were made from sugar, they looked so realistic. A true art!

Beautiful and delicious wedding cake

Charlotte made a delicately beautiful and delicious wedding cake for us at very short notice. Despite the tight timeline, she was always responsive and willing to help. She delivered the cake on time and the way she packed it helped it remain in perfect condition through some taxi and tube rides that we had to take before the event. Overall, it was a great experience!

Wedding cake of dreams

Charlotte provided us with our wedding cake of dreams only hers was better! I couldn't have been more glad to support her independent business and if you are in the hunt for a cake then she is your go to! She brought a little touch of Australia to our day by designing the most beautiful Australian flora cake which brought our wedding together nicely. I could almost smell the wattle and eucalyptus leaves and her dedication to detail still blows my mind. Beautiful and tasty my guests enjoyed every bight of our lemon sponge and meringue butter cream cake. If you are looking for someone who is skilled with sugar flowers and decorations and enjoys working her creative magic then I urge you to support her business. I would love to be able to use her services again in the future and will be recommending her to all my friends when they are in need!

Beautiful and utterly delicious

Charlotte made a beautiful, utterly delicious two tiered cake for our December micro-wedding. We knew we wanted something simple, elegant, and a little festive as a nod to the season, so Charlotte did a rustic buttercream finish with handmade pine cone, pine needle, and holly sugar decorations. We were a bit vague on flavours, but Charlotte had a wide selection to choose from and we settled on chocolate for the top tier and raspberry with white chocolate ganache for the bottom tier. Both were fantastic, and probably the only time we were glad we had so few guests as more cake for us! We particularly appreciated how Charlotte handled the design process. We sent a few ideas and pinterest images back and forth, and then had a zoom consultation, and we really felt that Charlotte listened to and elevated our ideas. After the disappointment of so many postponements and restrictions, the cake really helped make the day feel special. We will definitely commission another one for our first anniversary (and also the next birthday).
