What is your most memorable wedding?
When the bridal suite bathroom ceiling fell down mid- morning!! The bride remained cool as a cucumber, and even though we began to run behind sechdule, eventually we managed to ensure she sashayed down that aisle on time!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Classic, elegant, personal, beautiful, timeless.
What about your business are you most proud of?
That the majority of my customers are recommendations- it means the world to me when someone has come as a recommendation as this means I've done a job that someone was really happy with and happy to pass on my details to their friends and family.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Dont let anyone cause you stress- it's your day! If anyone is causing you undue stress just consider whether you would do the same to them- and if not, dont worry about them!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
A bride had a photo of her deceased father on the sole of her bridal shoes, so he could still walk her down the aisle ♡♡♡
Describe your typical process with a couple.
1. Check I have availability for their date.
2. Send through all prices, links to my website and FAQ.
3. And a quote and details of the time I would need on the day, so I can confirm arrival times for myself.
4. Trial books for the bride and anyone else wanting a trial.
5. Trials completed, finer details discussed and deposit taken to secure the date.
6. Your wedding day! I arrive, deliver my services and disappear once done, leaving you to enjoy your magical day.
What do you love most about your job?
Honestly, its the people I meet. I build such great relationships with so many of my brides, and these relationships often extend past the wedding date- even if it's just keeping in touch via social media!
What is your No. 1 beauty tip for a bride?
Skin prep- makeup always sits better on smoother, happy skin!
How do you keep the bride feeling calm on her wedding day?
Just through my normal chat! I'm pretty laid back, but also very organised. So I run a tight ship, but because of this I can then have a good chat and laugh with the bride and her bridal party on the morning of the wedding!
I have been known to help some brides with slow, steady breathing exercises, and some visualisation exercises, but that's a different story!
What advice would you give to brides to stay looking great throughout their wedding day?
Book a good makeup artist!! But also have a lip top up, maybe a facial spritz to freshen up if getting married in the summer months (such as rosewater- refreshing, smells beautiful and really helps to freshen up skin), a few emergency hair clips and a needle and thread! And antihistamines- I've often given these out on a wedding morning.
