What is your most memorable wedding?
Gosh, I have been lucky enough to work on many wonderful weddings, but I must say that one of my favourites was held in the beautiful African bush with Zebra's in the back ground.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Classic, Natural, Elegant, Romantic, Beautiful.
What about your business are you most proud of?
I am very proud to have been selected to work on Miss Tourism World, The 2012 London Olympics and to be recommended to Brides by Hampton Court Palace.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
I would encourage the Bride to collect images of her favourite hair and make-up looks as inspiration for her Bridal Hair and Make-up Trial. However be open to suggestions to best suit your hair type and complexion.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I think my favourite personal touch I have seen pre-wedding was personalised gowns for the bridal party to wear while having their hair styled and make-up applied. I also love the idea of little potted love palms decorating the tables, then each guest takes one home to love and nurture. I still have mine which has grown a great deal over 10 years!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I enjoy meeting the Bride and helping to create her ideal Bridal Hair and Make-up during the trial. On the wedding day I will travel to wherever the Bridal Party are getting ready to help style them for the day.
What do you love most about your job?
I love meeting new people and I find it rewarding being able to enhance someone’s natural beauty and to see the confidence gained through this transformation.
What is your No. 1 beauty tip for a bride?
Be kind to yourself by eating well and drinking plenty of water to hydrate your skin. I would also recommend maintaining a good beauty routine by cleansing, toning and moisturising your skin daily.
How do you keep the bride feeling calm on her wedding day?
Fortunately according to feedback from some of my brides, I seem to have a calming influence while I style the brides hair and apply her make-up. I guess being pampered helps to calm the nerves.
What advice would you give to brides to stay looking great throughout their wedding day?
I am sure the bride will be beaming with happiness, but I would recommend having a little bag for tissues, a couple of hair grips, powder and lipstick for a quick 'touch-up' before the evening celebrations.
