MEET THE TEAM
Andrew has been hairdressing for over 25 years, and is a Loreal trained professional stylist. Andrew has been the director of his own salon for 25 years, and has a wealth of knowledge about all things hair. He is a renown stylist within Hampshire, and specialises in beautiful bridal hair. Andrew has styled over 400 weddings in last 5 years, and his creative flare and style have seen him become one of the most sort after stylists in the south.
The HairdressSir is a bijou, independent salon based in the heart of Southsea.The unique VIP salon has grown quite a name for itself within the Bridal Hair World. Combining Andrew’s wealth of experience and his fresh, contemporary innovation,he prides himself on providing an exceptional service to each and every bride that steps through their salon door.
Working very closely with Creatiques Bridal Boutique in Southsea, the salon is based in the courtyard of the Bridal Shop’s rear entrance, situating them at the forefront of a Bride’s bridal experience. This enables the team to create an entire look from start to finish for the Bride, having been part of the bridal journey from the beginning and allowing the team to pick up on the Brides ideas and themes very early on to build and develop the ultimate style.
Our salon uses only the best of the best, "because your worth it" L'Oreal Professional, from the consultation, shampoo and styling advice, we are with you every step of the way in your bridal journey.
We also have working with us multi award winning makeup artists. Simply the best in the business.

What is your most memorable wedding?
Wow. thats a question, for more reasons than most this is hard. I love being there on the morning of the wedding to see how all the months of planning coming together. it truly is AMAZING.
A funny story though, the brides car broke down on the morning of the wedding, so yes, i stepped in and drove no only the bride but all the bridesmaids,yes 4 of them to the venue singing all the tunes on my wedding playlist in the car, was very memorable.

What about your business are you most proud of?
I am very proud becoming a force to be in the bridal hair world, we have also become a finalist for our bridal hair in The Hampshire Wedding Suppliers Awards.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Be prepared, Be realistic! do not stress, and let us take over the morning of your wedding, we have over 30 years of experience when it comes to "the wedding morning"
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Watching the brides father or mother see their daughter for the first time on the day of the wedding, it is a very emotional day all round, not only for the bride but us as well.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I deliver the best experience I can for you, our planning for the day is based on many things, from the pre trial, and they wedding day it self, each bride has a bespoke package create for them.
I ask for a deposit to secure the actual day. The plan is created for you from the day backwards for your hair and makeup trial.
The HAIRDRESSIR only work with the best makeup artists, who like us deliver an outstanding result for our brides.
What do you love most about your job?
The passion we have and the experience our brides have from ouR years of experience.
What is your No. 1 beauty tip for a bride?
Plan your wedding pre week, as soon and as early as you can, book your trial at least 2-4 weeks pre wedding date to make sure you are happy with the trial, also if you have colour this need to be done the week of the wedding.
How do you keep the bride feeling calm on her wedding day?
We completely take over your morning.Many photographers who have worked with us actually cannot believe there's a wedding taking place as it is so calm. We have an incredible amount of fun on the mornings let us enjoy the morning with you.
What advice would you give to brides to stay looking great throughout their wedding day?
From our experience, you will look as good on the end of the evening as you do from the moment we leave you to enjoy your day.
