What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
A wedding at the Crab and Lobster in Thirsk. We all new that a very special friend of the couple and the family was going to surprise them by marrying them. The happiness, and the tears of joy when she stepped forward and took over the service was very special.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I would normally chat with the couple first and answer any questions they have, if possible it’s great to have met beforehand for a coffee and a chance to get to know each other before the bridal trial.
What do you love most about your job?
I love the people, I love my brides. There is nothing better than making their vision come to life.
What is your No. 1 beauty tip for a bride?
Don’t book a spray tan or a facial that you have never had before very close to the wedding. If you think you would like a spray tan before the wedding, then make sure that you test it out a few weeks before the big day.
How do you keep the bride feeling calm on her wedding day?
Each bride has different needs and circumstances, so my approach will complement each of my clients. There is no “One size fits all” - that is why it’s important to find the right people.
What advice would you give to brides to stay looking great throughout their wedding day?
Your makeup and hair should carry you through the day to the evening, but I always recommend having a translucent face powder and your lip colour to hand for any touch ups during your big day.
