What is your most memorable wedding?
One of my brides was actually my brother's partner. They were married in Sydney, Australia on the beachfront + it was particularly beautiful as this one was with family. It will stay with me forever.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Beautiful. Modern. Clean. Calm. Tailored.
What about your business are you most proud of?
I love that my brides trust me enough to recommend me to their friends.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Pinterest is an amazing source of inspiration, but make sure there is a little bit of you in the look you choose. We can get so lost in all the imagery, but I'd say the best place to start would be with women who have similar skin + hair colouring to yourself.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Personalised fragrance for the wedding! I know an amazing company who makes a wedding fragrance for my brides, then sends them it again on their anniversary. So special!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
After speaking on the phone, I like to organise a trial within 4 months of the wedding so that my brides have no surprises on the day!
I then give them skin & hair care recommendations to allow them to look their absolute best before they walk down the aisle. Anything they need, I have them covered!
On the day itself, I have the bride ready roughly an hour before they walk out the door to give them plenty of personal time & feel completely comfortable in the dress. The touch up kit is given to their Maid of Honour & then it’s time for “I do”.
What do you love most about your job?
Seeing that feeling of absolute joy when they see the whole look come together & know they’re absolutely ready to say yes.
What is your No. 1 beauty tip for a bride?
Always start prepping your skin & hair before the day. Anything from eating right, exercise & beauty regimes take around 3 months before you see happy results, so start early for the best results!
How do you keep the bride feeling calm on her wedding day?
I make sure they’re ready an hour before they need to walk out the door, making sure they’ve had a little face masque or the music they love in the background. Anything to make them feel zen.
What advice would you give to brides to stay looking great throughout their wedding day?
A touch up kit is a must! I organise one for all my brides!
