What is your most memorable wedding?
Every wedding holds a special place in my heart…. It would be so hard to choose 1 wedding! So a memorable moment of each wedding instead… When you are dressed, stood in position ready for a reveal, for some reason you forget to take a moment for yourself, this is the perfect opportunity for me to show you in the mirror, everything we’ve spoke about, everything you dreamed of, it’s all become real. It’s the gasp, the tear and the hand flap… the moment of pure serenity of just you! Obviously I love the big reveals but this moment just gets me every time, it makes me so warm and humble that I get to do this for a career. That’s the moment I feel my job here is done and open the door for your favourites to see. Their reactions are just as priceless.

What about your business are you most proud of?
I’m proud of my skills, my experience but most of all I’m proud to listen and care. I join in with your inspirations and offer advice and together we create You as a bride! And all that of course is the reason I have been nominated for awards EVERY YEAR since 2018 and won 3 🙌🏻
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Buy the highlighters, post it bites, note pads, anything you can to get it all out of your head and on to paper. In your head it can be stressful, jumbled and overwhelming… on pretty paper or in highlighter pens it’s still scary and overwhelming but it’s tangible, you can see what’s really worth worrying about.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Ooohh this was relatively a new one but my brides had a wedding scent!! I couldn’t get enough of it, they had the smell intwined through their day, on place cards, candles, flower petals and I just loved the touch, everyone got a little something to take home with them that would remind them of their gorgeous day. Something I’d never have thought of but now it would be at the top of my list.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
When a bride gets in touch, I try to give as much information about me, my services and how I work before securing the wedding date. I am always in hand on emails and social media. I meet the bride between 3-6 months before the wedding for a trial. On the wedding day I come to your venue to get you ready. I’ve been known to meet the groom on the odd occasion, covering those dark shadowed eyes with concealer, but that’s a rarity. I generally only see the couple when you share your gorgeous pictures with me.
What do you love most about your job?
What’s not to love…I literally have the best job. It brings me so much happiness and I am lucky enough to balance a family around the madness of it all. I’ve always loved weddings, everyone’s so happy and smiling, not even the rain can dampen the spirits. It’s just a real feel good career.
What is your No. 1 beauty tip for a bride?
Start prepping your skin ideally 12 months before your big day.
How do you keep the bride feeling calm on her wedding day?
I’m a chatter, I love to start funny stories and dive in to the history each bridal party has shared. It lightens the room, is a great distraction and I love to delegate jobs for the bride to take the pressure off. I work very well with my times to ensure we will never be late because of me and have plenty of time for last minute nerves, this is when it’s a good idea to pop the fizz to take the edge off. I remind each bride of what they are about to do…. It’s not about walking down the aisle and 50 people looking at you, it’s seeing your soul mate with more emotions than they can release in their eyes and sealing that forever thing you’ve been working towards over the years. It’s special. It’s heart warming, it’s more than a moment. It’s forever. It’s a nice reminder of the bigger picture.
What advice would you give to brides to stay looking great throughout their wedding day?
Smile, laugh and soak in all the vibes!!
I have great confidence from a trial your hair and makeup will last. It’s great to have your own lipstick or gloss for a touch up but also feel you will be so busy revelling in the moments, I hope the pressure of hair and makeup isn’t a thought. So it’s simple, smile, don’t worry and I’m a million percent sure you will look great for days after on cloud 9.
