Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
I love creating glowy, effortless, pretty looks on my brides. Think, beauty, boho, natural, and sometimes a smokey eye for an amped up look.
What about your business are you most proud of?
That I have created a credible business from scratch on my own - to have created a small business and being able to work with wonderful women and be chosen for their wedding day fills me with immense pride!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
On enquiry I will send out my brochure for couples to read through. At this stage I'll know date and venue and potentially the bridal party size If the bride wants to proceed I'll book a 10/20 min zoom with the bride to chat about the look, dress, the day, any theme, likes/dislikes so we can make a plan for the hair/makeup. The trial is booked from there.
What do you love most about your job?
I love meeting people, I deal with fantastic, brilliant women. If we feel we're the right fit we go on to have a great working relationship right up to the wedding day. It feels so lovely to be in their lives for those moments - I truly love it.
What is your No. 1 beauty tip for a bride?
Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! Keeping the skin as good as possible will ensure the makeup holding up and looking fabulous.
How do you keep the bride feeling calm on her wedding day?
Everyone is so different so what each person needs is always different. I have been known to empty the room for a bit if it's a bit chaotic to get the bride relaxed...
What advice would you give to brides to stay looking great throughout their wedding day?
With the skin prep and makeup and the hair ready for the day the bride will look and more importantly feel amazing and set to last for the day. I find with most of my brides that they are so relaxed after the ceremony and enjoying their day, any worries of 'maintenance' get forgotten. I don't want my bride to only think about how she looks, she will be loving the day with everyone around her. Of course, some will top up their lipstick, get a small blotting book to take off any shine or book for their mua/hairstylist to create an evening look later in the day with a change of dress.
