My name is Jessica Nurse, I am a freelance makeup and hair artist based in the midlands. I graduated from the University of the Arts London (London College of Fashion)in 2005 with an FdA in specialist makeup design. I now have over 16 years experience within the makeup industry. I have worked as a bridal makeup artist (alongside my fashion work) for the last 12 years. It is very different to my fashion and film work, but equally as rewarding. I love the build up and transformation of the bride on her big day, when all the hair, makeup and dress are complete. I like to incorporate my editorial background into beautiful bridal makeup using cosmetics such as Nars, Charlotte Tillbury, Illamsqua, Stila, MAC, Makeup Forvever, Tarte, Giorgio Armani, Chanel and

I contacted Jess after seeing her work at a friend's wedding where all of the bridal party looked fantastic - she was really warm and friendly from the first email I sent her and when we met up for the trial she was super flexible and accommodating, really working with me to put me at ease and help me to achieve the look I wanted!

Miracle worker!

Jess is amazing at her job. Myself and my bridesmaids felt absolutely beautiful on my wedding day and it was in no small part down to her hard work! She's responsive to your vision and needs, and offers great advice based on her own expertise and experience. She worked hard to make sure that I was completely happy with the look at both the trial and on the day. Both her and her assistant (Lara) were fun and relaxed on the morning of the wedding and helped to make the "getting ready" experience as chilled and enjoyable as possible, which was really important to me. I would wholeheartedly recommend Jess to any brides looking for a professional, experienced hair and make up artist, who will help to make you feel the best version of yourself.
